@sean_batt @MoarToast Ok that interesting. Sort of a double check. In Australia to my knowledge your DL number stays with you for life. If your DL number data has been stolen it means every customer needs a new DL number and thus a new card number as well. Optus and will weasel out of this if they can

Dreyfus said on insiders that optus treat personal info as an asset. What about ID for mygov and centerlink. The network of private information, bank accounts, medical and addresses . Why is it ok for the govt to have all this data but not optus. Wait till the govt gets hacked

Thx @Optus sending me sms this afternoon that my license details have been released in data breach. I look forward to hearing what else has been exposed. Thx for 59 minute wait to hear via chat bot yesterday that Optus cannot confirm customer data released

Nothing like @Optus sending you a text at 7pm on the Sunday before a public holiday, 10 days after the data breach that your details have been leaked and you need to contact Service NSW to replace your license, which won't be open til Tuesday.

@journeyofdays @Optus I just looked it up... depending on which state you are in, here in SA it's free if you can prove you are an optus customer... other states you will be reimbursed from Optus at a later date...

@chrissmithonair Like you and others I also want Optus to do the right thing Remember they were hacked (broken into & info stolen) they didn't sell or share it They should have taken more care, but you now want them to hand over private information to government without concent
