Breaking Bread (@ERN_Malleyscrub) reported@ianbfarquhar @astrowisdom777 Maybe Optus sells the customer information? Who knows?
-
Andrew (@AndrewPatrick_) reported@Acting_Alone @Optus I’m talking specifically about frontline retail staff. Not contact centres. Dealing with aggressive people face to face is difficult to deal with. It’s not their fault their company made a royal **** up.
-
Acting Alone (@Acting_Alone) reported@AndrewPatrick_ @Optus On the contrary, Optus staff have been quite rude, and very dismissive toward me when I've contacted them about the email I got confirming my ID and drivers licence details were stolen.
-
Daniel Cohen (@Fishman_Dan) reported@norfer40 @agarner Optus allowed an “API” - a doorway into their customer data without checking who was on the other side. API’s are used to connect data to systems all the time, that isn’t the issue. They approved one that shouldn’t have been - they opened the door. Definitely not a hack.
-
Karate Warrior II (@me_dc) reported@RowdyAndTed It’s probably a subscription based service, which while good for you, should be paid for by Optus, but I doubt that will ever happen
-
Sharon Lee (@SBJSMum) reportedHaven't been an Optus customer since 2018 so wondering why my information wasn't archived? I told them at the time that I was not likely to ever be a customer again.
-
James Cridland (@JamesCridland) reportedWhat’s “nice” about the @optus hack is that, as a past but not present customer, there’s no way for me to get in touch to ask for what personal data they have: they require me to use their chat service which isn’t available to lapsed customers (even though I can still log in).
-
Jeffry (@Jeffry23470726) reported@MadsMelbourne @Optus How you still got hacked if you not a customer anymore doesn't make sense
-
Turquoise Bear (@turquoisebbear) reported@ClareONeilMP Optus needs to pay for ongoing credit report monitoring for all affected customers. And clearly set out the dispute resolution and compensation process for any loss. And frankly, people need a direct right of action for privacy breaches as has been recommended but not legislated.
-
James Cridland (@JamesCridland) reportedOptus say “If you believe your account has been compromised, you can contact us on My @Optus app”, but that’s not possible if you’re a former customer. So, I’ve no idea what ID data they have of mine on record.
