@madcatjo2point0 @ServiceNSW If you looked into this for more than half a second you'd know this already. You'd also know that no photographic data was stolen (it is all text based data). But replace whatever you want. As service NSW said "as a precaution". But Optus won't likely reimburse you for it

@DavidGr07837209 #auspol I am surprised this issue hasn't been raised earlier as Optus aren't the only ones this has happened with. Anyone that has entered into those online competitions, guess where your details gave been sent? That's right overseas & apparently legal to do.

@beransarigmail1 @9NewsAUS I don’t think this is unnecessary data collection. They need it to make deliveries and have customer accounts. It’s very different to Optus keeping ID verification documents

@RealTimFerguson @IBSimmo New service will be managed by Optus. They will need you to sign an indemnity agreement just in case they mix up the string connections

Honestly if I see the Optus CEO trying to cheerfully mitigate any more of their **** I will scream. She really has no concept how many of us use our passport for ID on an almost daily basis. But sure "it's fine for travelling". FU! Pay for our replacements immediately. #OptusHack

I'm now a victim of 3x data breaches (that I know of) - @Optus, @Medibank and @mydealaustralia in the last month. Get your **** together companies or stop running a business!!! #databreach

@engagedpractx @Optus That’s so bad. So so bad. It’s so they don’t pay to replace it. That’s really bad.

@kashmirichai__ @Optus That is just ridiculous. We just use DL unless it is one of the states that does not complies with the ID requirements. I hope they fix this for y'all because I am sure it is stressful.

Hey @Optus I had a chat with your support a week ago. Told me I got a generic email and no data of mine was breached. You sent me an email today telling me otherwise. So that was a lie. A week went by and I could have acted. I don't even get a the credit report code @abcnews
