  • KleinRevd Revd Andrew Klein ( Chaplain) (@KleinRevd) reported

@virgotweet Had similar problems. At the end of the day, after much obfuscation and humbugging, I got onto to management. NBN mostly uses sub contractors who are used like Gig workers, the infrastructure is stuffed and there is little communication between Optus n NBN.

@khtagh Optus CEO: “9.8 million is worst case scenario” Okay looks like I was spot on.

@SenPaterson Will this effect people who don’t use #Optus but who have BPAY and Periodic Payments with companies that may use @Optus as a carrier Like - Banks, Local Councils, Supermarkets, Suppliers, Employees and Service Providers?

  • MrHunterSmith Hunter Smith (@MrHunterSmith) reported

Optus could leak every single personal detail of mine and still the worst but would be people knowing I'm with Optus.

  • AusBravo DP - Mike Bravo (@AusBravo) reported

  • samxmcgowan sam (@samxmcgowan) reported

yeah my data was probably compromised in the optus hack but idgaf i post all my **** on twitter anyway. if you want my passport number just dm me you don’t have to go to the effort of hacking my phone provider.

  • eddiemajor e.m. (@eddiemajor) reported

@NicoleMatejic @Optus What're they even doing with the data of 9 million Australians. There's no way they have that many customers, they must be retaining a lot of former customer data.

When the PlayStation network was hacked in 2011, it was such a big deal. The network shut down for 3 weeks and Sony compensated users with free games and subscriptions. Now, as is being shown by Optus, the standard response is 'lol, soz, change your passwords'.
