Now #Optus are paying Deloitte to do a “review”! What a load of BS. It will say “it wasn’t us , it was some bad hacker.” Pay the piper and you call the tune.

2/2 We worked for months (voluntarily) with the AG's Dept to help make sense of some bad legislation. Amelioration, not remedy. After the Optus breach, an urgent rethink of the metadata legislation is overdue. This time, listen to the experts. #auspol @VTeagueAus @internetAUS

I believe my passport expired close to 20 years ago. Surely a cursory check would have revealed that I am still an @Optus customer & how long do these companies hold on to our data in any case?

@7NewsAustralia @Optus Wake up Australia. NSW Service and Centrelink have all had multiple cyber security breaches in the last 2 years. The same places that refuse cash purchases. This is no accident. Go digital free!

So apparently a lot of people have been getting a text over the weekend from optus saying what data if theirs has been breached.. I have received nothing. Should I be happy? Worried? Maybe my optus service is so poor, it hasn't been able to come through yet🤔
