@Kate3015 Long ago I recommended to Optus the reasons they should not consider Huawei, I had a techo team from Huawei walk me through how they would treat the Data Centres and the router installations, they insisted only Huawei techo engineers would install them, it was open to anybody dialing in and accessing, so it was a big no. This smells the same, very much so.

@7_columns @Andrew_McCallum If you listened to her, the government mandated after the Optus issue, that with emergencies, the people using the network that is down, should be switched to a working network. She said she wanted to test that her phone went to Optus if Telstra didn’t work. It didn’t, and that is important.

@testtt45ubvhgg Hi there, sorry to hear that you are having trouble logging into your account. If you are referring to your My Optus app or My Account log in, typically too many incorrect password attempts will block your account for 15 minutes. If you don't remember the password or if you are unsure, please try resetting your password before attempting to log in again. If you have any questions regarding this or need assistance, please send us a Direct Message, so we can assist - Jay

@tim_blee You would think that if you relied on the mobile network to receive payments then you would have a backup should the particular network fail. Maybe have an Optus or Vodafone SIM card handy or re-route your payment system to the NBN? No sympathy for unprepared businesses.

@AlanBixter Particularly after @Optus emergency access fuckups, there's no excuse for not having robust redundancies & fail safes @Telstra are likely more focussed on cost-cutting & leveraging unwanted, untested AI to boost management bonuses CEOs should face jail time for such negligence

Back when Optus went down I was a Telstra customer. I moved over to amaysim which is Optus, and now the Big T has gone down. #winning

@thmsenglsh also their service is $70 a month for no good reason (they raised it because they added satellite sms) they profit consistently every year whereas optus basically makes a little more than enough to continue operating, the difference in revenue is crazy between the two

@BusyTonn Somewhat true. Telecom never had a FTTP plan, but CBDs did have Telstra fibre in the 1990s (after Optus started).
