    @Optus given the high possibility of ID theft will you reimburse customers for the cost of having new passports and drivers licenses issued? Telling us you’re working with the AFP doesn’t help your customers if bad actors use the information you’ve lost to commit identity theft.

    @sickoslater Yep and now #Optus has invalidated the drivers licence & passport numbers of millions of Australians from being viable to use as ID. It’s a nuclear **** up beyond imagining.

    @Raf_Epstein so "...Optus to hand over customer data to the banks...". Would that be done through some yet-to-be-developed API? This will just create more coupling in an already complex system, making the next major system failure even more catastrophic. It must be done.

    @MultiplyBlessed @liamsutton32 @lavosaurus Irrespective of the relevant law pertinent to Optus - ACMA/AML or Privacy Act, it’s an incorrect interpretation that verification data must be retained. The Know Your Customer part of the AML act says an entity must have a risk based verification process…

    @TMRQld hi there Regarding the latests @Optus hack, can you get a new driver’s license number issued? Cancel the old number, get a new one.
