@strangerous10 Dreyfus said he expects them to be made public shortly. On a number of levels the @AlboPM Government is clearly very active behind the scenes successfully forcing change. This release, the decision by Optus to bear the cost of new passports, & many others support this view.

@MStoove @Optus They will be trying to look like they're in control amd in contact with us individually but, have you ever called Optus before..wait time..they never have enough staff. There are millions of us with breached info.

@manpageman @Optus Which is why I always thought "Data is the new oil" was a terrible metaphor. Marketers used it to try to say "data powers everything" while oddly forgetting about CO2 and myriad other oil-related downsides

@ssharwood @GeoffreyHuntley @Optus i'd say it will have very little impact other than more draconian legislation. Every org never thinks something like the Optus breach will happen to them.

@ssharwood @Optus Having just left a vendor who can fix this exact problem, the issue is that it's really hard to implement across an enterprise. Not many companies want the hassle to secure the data, It may change going forward once the Govt updates the Privacy act.

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Then I can't contact you because of delays. As a former customer who has unsubscribed from all emails how exactly am I supposed to find out if my data (you kept for years) has been breached/stolen.

@Optus have been trying to cancel my nbn service since Friday 30th September but cannot get through to anyone on on both the app or phone! Have your call centres also been hacked or did someone leave the phone off the hook. Pleas advise how I can cancel my service?
