    @newscomauHQ Can't help but spot the irony of when facebook was hacked & data leaked SEVERAL times in some cases, identical data leaked as now w/ Optus - the outrage was almost non-existent. Data released of more than 10x this one. I'd bet some of those are more than likely STILL on facebook

    Optus admits that appointing Gladys Berejiklian’s boyfriend as data secretary manager was a bad idea.

    Get the feeling Optus will be looking for a new CEO before too long. Given the gravity of the issue & how it directly impacts each customer, this could even be the end of the company in AUS.

    Hi @Optus – I’m a Virgin phone customer (i.e. an Optus one), so I assume you’ve spilled my data, or don’t know whether you have or not. What do I need to do?

    @catedempsey The hacker is explaining how it happened, so we don’t have to worry about that. But yes, the normal response is find, close, cover, assess damage. I think the “cover” option is not open to Optus here given the publicity.

    @TheTodayShow I complained to Optus not only because of the spams, their **** service. I WAS NOT called at all about this breach!!!! I had to call them only to find I have been comprised!!!!! I told them I’m not paying my bill!!! I’M DISGUSTED! OPTUS SUCK!!!
