Ladybugfunk (@ladybugfunk) reported@JacintaAllanMP Wasnโt Anika Smells supposed to put something in place in the case of such scenarios after the Optus outage? The fault for this lies with Labor

Not This Little Black Duck ๐๐๐๐๐ทโ๏ธโฎ๏ธ (@YoiksAndAway) reported@AlanBixter Particularly after @Optus emergency access fuckups, there's no excuse for not having robust redundancies & fail safes @Telstra are likely more focussed on cost-cutting & leveraging unwanted, untested AI to boost management bonuses CEOs should face jail time for such negligence
-
Evangeline (@evangelinestuff) reported@thmsenglsh i used to work at telstra and we had even more data breaches and outages than optus did but telstras like besties with every australian media outlet and funds alot of their services so everyone just bags on optus instead, telstra genuinely sucks

Cheryl (@Cheryl53111693) reported@andrewrdn463 Put a woman in charge of a company like Telstra and Optus and you can be sure they will **** it up.
-
Toobs (@lockie_crash) reported@MickamiousG @Starlink When starlink finally get their mobile plans into Australia Telstra will be done within 2 years...one of Vodafone and Optus will survive as a budget telco, but people won't be paying Telstra prices for dogshit service
-
Ben Nexhip (@ben_nexhip) reported@Cazzawhy @TigerAncient @SenSHenderson Itโs also important that an opposition member of parliament can hold an MP accountable and be aware of lack of access to emergency services to the public in which they serve. Remembering what happened to Optus when people died as a result of losing the same access that was lost yesterday.

TRPoint.pics ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ (@thatfancypear) reportedYou will hear this more and more... Australia needs another mobile network operator, this will head into a colesworth situation and everyone will suffer.... Wholesaling isn't an option anymore because Telstra and Optus game the system Mark my words, Telop

Marcus Wong (@aussiewongm) reported@ILM126 Mo reason you can't have Optus and/or Vodafone service as a backup beside extra cost, through both still manage to **** up in their own way anyway.
-
Ash ๐ฆ๐บ (@TheInspectorAsh) reported@heidimur This isnโt just about Telstra. We saw similar issues with Optus. If our emergency communications and critical infrastructure are meant to be resilient, why do single network outages continue to have such widespread impacts? Itโs time to review whether our redundancy is truly independent, or whether weโre relying on backups that share the same points of failure.

Wil Burston (@wilburston) reported@StMaryMacKiller So bad the iPad has an Optus chip and the house has been in Starlink for years
