Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • franknfamily Frank (@franknfamily) reported

@GT99912841 'Noticed some unusual activity on Wednesday and then we shut it down' is not exactly the detailed explanation / timeline that I would have ever accepted in the past for any security breach and definitely not adequate as an Optus customer. 😠

  • BunnysTeTe Bunny TeTe 🐰🐻 (@BunnysTeTe) reported

I do love that Optus' email, which allows for no reply says they are devastated by the breach yet the onus is on me to make sure that I'm now subject to fraudulent behaviour. Oh, and my monthly plan was increased. Awesome. As a customer of over 20 years, I can't wait to cancel.

  • JJKALE2 Solo Monk (@JJKALE2) reported

Fck Optus.....i'm about to change back to getting my **** service from Telstra!

  • FKhnopff Ferdie Khnopff (@FKhnopff) reported

@just_brash @Optus Customers? What have customers got to do with this? This is about trying to work out who is going to take the fall? Being a woman, Ms Bayer Rosmarin is in serious trouble. The harder questions will be asked in risk/compliance. You're on your own I'm afraid.

  • Shertsr Shertim Rustemi (@Shertsr) reported

@Optus Ha Optus are you going to contact your previous customer that had their IDs stolen or is the past the past. WHAT A MESS.

  • AUSFestivus Interested in everything all of the time (@AUSFestivus) reported

Has anyone done the segue from Optus data leak to Government owned and operated online identity verification service yet?

  • Mephiston Mephiston (@Mephiston) reported

@MoaniePandium The ACCC should be advising people to cancel their contracts and demand optus waive the payout fees over this crap.

  • clothedvillainy Demon King of Unserious Dicta (@clothedvillainy) reported

@anguslivingston @craigthomler I had a real estate agent accidentally hand over another tenant’s 100-points of ID as part of a Tribunal case because the private information just happened to be in their possession at the time for no legitimate reason. It would be impossible for Optus to be just as bad.

  • Polyquats 🚰🚿🏊🏻‍♀️💦Dr Janet ******* (@Polyquats) reported

@vombatus2 @DrDemography I can never remember my Optus password anyway. Maybe if we knew who was responsible for the breach I could ask them 🙃

  • Banana16Eric Eric Banana (@Banana16Eric) reported

@JustJul77588855 Wow Optus, no financial data lost but only 3 Million identities. This is the worst Security o breach I have ever heard of and I am so glad I do not use any of there services. What an unprofessional company to allow this to happen.
