@rogueytwinkles Oh bugger. The Optus thing is awful. I hope you’re ok. Fingers crossed your plumbing bill isn’t too bad. Ours for storm water remediation was appalling. We needed LOTS of cake etc. take care.

@samanthamaiden Optus is valued at between $8-12 billion. The hackers were only asking for $1 million? This whole saga is turning into a comedy of errors...

I wonder how many Optus cutomers will now move to a telco more concerned about customer security than profits?

@Jeremy_Kirk just changed my mobile provider. never again @Optus

I haven’t seen it reported anywhere, but do we know whether the Optus hack also affects other providers that use the Optus network (like Amaysim)?

As bad as the Optus breach is... What is more worrying is how everyone else is also gathering our data. You want to use x app -> mandatory KYC. These businesses have a lower security budget than Optus. It won't even make the news if they get hacked. That's scary.

@KimWomenginet @Sidonie89 I tried too. Vic Roads only do it after there's a problem. Thanks Optus.

@newscomauHQ So the blatant lies & the gaslighting of customers continues. Why did you not say anything about customer Medicare numbers being compromised as well?? Your behaviour and response after the fact is disgraceful. Heads need to roll & I hope Optus is bleeding shitloads of customers.

@GeoffSpinmonkey @GavinWakeupint1 They may have to change that. Service NSW is already working with Optus, they say.

Off the back of the Optus hack: Has anyone received emails from other companies/banks/service providers assuring you if this safe and robust security systems?
