@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews 1 email on the 24th. The best part is, I haven't been an optus customer in years

  • scottjla Scott (@scottjla) reported

@Karina_Melbs @BustedGoldCoast @Anthony_Klan And you would not provide the customer with the details every time they interacted with you, which is how Optus works

  • Carmellita11 umm yes that was nextdoor (@Carmellita11) reported

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews drivers licence number or passport number. No copies of photo IDs have been affected. It is also important to know that Optus’ network and Optus services including mobile and home Wi-Fi aren’t affected, and no passwords were compromised, so our services 3/5

  • iluvlillies Kelly (@iluvlillies) reported

@BreakfastNews speculation order of the day, tom Joyner's reports can never be trusted, Istanbul is not Iran. Feed up with the propoganda. Facts not fillers please. This Optus breach us terrifying, that's my concern. Optus should be heavily penalised.

  • theDataStudent Bharath Sivakumar (@theDataStudent) reported

@NEUROMASTER9 That just shows that Optus has really **** data retention policies, not that Optus staff actively engaged in leaking the data.

  • virgotweet Stuart Tomlinson (@virgotweet) reported

@SenPaterson @Birmo James Patterson. Optus created the problem and Optus should pay for the problem, not the Australian taxpayers. Optus is an overseas company owned by Singapore Telecommunications Limited.

  • PeteRepeatAber Pete Repeat (@PeteRepeatAber) reported

….. Back when NBN was first rolled out, I was constantly getting network dropouts. I lost count of the times I contacted Optus about this over 9 months. In the end, I contacted my local Federal MP who got the issue fixed in days. To call Optus a “technology company” is…

  • zee_farmer Farmer Zee (@zee_farmer) reported

@_sara_jade_ Reported the incident to @Optus but never heard back from them.

  • madwixxy Peter Wicks (@madwixxy) reported

@charleyb2355 @Optus @Telstra And there in lies the issue, it should be illegal to store rather than a legal requirement to store

  • adamjonwilliams Adam Williams (@adamjonwilliams) reported

@ReclaimAnglesea @Optus Yes I noted that they had sent if from a noreply address too. You'd think if Optus actually gave two hoots they would have not done that. Hell if I were CTO or CIO I'd have made sure you could at very least replied to a specially monitored email address, awful.
