Humpy (@sirhumpyAU) reported@TweetTreet @tim_blee That's bullshit, devices EFTPOS and similar devices that run on 4G/5G can use other networks, and a bit of business continuity planning would have a backup network, even for a small business, like running down to Officeworks and buying an OPTUS prepaid SIM.

You’d think that after over 30 years of loyalty they’d be willing to negotiate a compromise and maybe even a little leniency to someone in financial hardship, but no. They don’t care. Jason White (@JWhite90566) reported@mdtlion She sounds more like a Telstra public relations officer, than the Communications Minister. Maybe she’s grifting for a future job with them. I noticed the little dig she made at Optus by mentioning a previous issue they had had in the past, but totally relevant to today’s issues.

Just purchase a sim card supported by Optus [this is redundancy contingency] when Telstra goes off line swap out their sim & slot in the backup & vice versa. Alteratively purchase a dual sim phone which allows you to switch between service providers
