The "spoofing" of phone nos, like the scam where it looks like NAB is calling, is well known in telco industry and UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE CARRIERS @telstra @Optus Until legislation is introduced they will continue to allow it as they don’t give a crap about customers #scam

@ozjuliancox Same. I was contacted about my licence defiantly being compromised by Optus so got onto VIC roads to flag it, it still worries me what crap we will have to go through if this info is used

@NicoleMatejic They confirmed today that they believe access was afforded to ALL members' data. 😮🤬 Like who TF are these 🤡 running IT systems and actively managing business and reputational risks ? Thankfully I wasn't either an Optus or Medibank customer. 🙏

  • jpwarren Justin Warren (@jpwarren) reported

The ABC has the sheer brazenness to cite the Optus data breach as a reason not to disclose the risk register. Apparently their security is so bad that getting a 2 year old risk register would let hackers get hold of heaps of customer data. #foi

@MarkSki61330331 @BlackHillCraig @MarkDreyfusKCMP We have to help ourselves now, the data is out there. I’ve signed on for class actions against Optus, hopefully something comes of that. I’ll do the same with Medibank.

@abcnews Just read the ABC piece on identity theft. Scary. I’m a customer of both Optus and Medibank, and will say that Medibank has not handled it well at all. How is it that we’re finding out about this widespread breach from the news and not from Medibank first? Unconscionable.

  • robertmbarnes Robert Barnes CAE 🇵🇬🇦🇺 (@robertmbarnes) reported

@Optus NBN A bit like Jimmy Garoppolo… Not quite bad enough to get rid of, not nearly good enough to make a difference. A triumph of mediocrity.

  • MickGerrard Mick Gerrard (@MickGerrard) reported

@kbrspace have you tried calling your support line as an old GOMO customer to obtain information to protect your identity? No-one at Optus appears to be able to help me protect my breached data. Why is that?
