@6NewsAU Not really a hacker they didn’t hack anything they downloaded information “freely” available. @Optus is the bad “baddies” guys here They failed, those who failed should face criminal charges

How good is @Optus? They bump up charges to maximise profits (no other reason) and almost immediately after allow customer data to be stolen through utter ineptitude. They should be fined millions, and also have to compensate current customers big time. CEO should go! #auspol

@Nick56412479 I’m disappointed to hear this. Optus helped me through a period of homelessness and I’ve always been so thankful for the service they’ve provided us. I almost signed up for a new phone the day before I heard of this breach.

@civilized____ We’ll never know. Optus paid, 3rd party purchased with non disclosure arrangement, the pressure got too much, lots of possibilities.

@ClareONeilMP Minister, I was canceling my Optus account today & there was resistance from the loyalty team. I was asked to cancel in early Oct, the reason being that the individual staff cancellation score is getting too high and therefore affects their wage. This is how Optus treats staff.

As a customer of @optus, I’ve noticed that early May 2022, the mobile app was not allowing full logins, I went through the usual troubleshooting, and btw I come from a technical background @acccgovau #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach #OptusFail
