@Dudebank @Optus I’m so done with Optus, ****** coverage and poor customer service. Years ago I got a loan phone from them while they fixed my iPhone, returned it to the store in perfect condition. They then send it back to NSW. It arrived there damaged and expected me to pay $600

Because, @Optus, I’m using the app as per the advice provided because it’s the safest contact method. But I can’t get any help. It’s happened more than once.

@Mbridget21 So the Optus and Telstra "hacks" seem like just a pretext to get public opinion to support digital ID?

Email from Optus, Sept 26: "Breach, but never fear, your identification number(s) were not exposed> Email from Optus, Oct 5: "Whoopsie. Your identification number(s) were exposed. We are terribly victimised." Farcical.

Optus is owned by Singtel and their major shareholder is the Singapore government. #optusbreach #Optus. Does Singtel keep Australian customer information? Yes or No, thanks.

@KobieThatcher They are using the hack at Optus as an opportunity to digitize all identity information. It makes no sense, online details were stolen, so to fix it, we will store everything in one place.....that sounds safe?

@Optus the hack occurred nearly two weeks ago but I’m just finding out today that my licence number was exposed. TWO weeks!! That’s far too long given the severity of the issue. Imagine the number of things someone could do with that information.

Ay, @Optus explain to me why I got an email telling me you can now confirm my licence was exposed when A) I never received an initial email informing my data was accessed; B) when I contacted you earlier I was told no details were accessed. 🙄#OptusDataBreach #raginglyincompetent
