@dcash781 @Breezybaby1811 @noplaceforsheep I was last a customer 10 years ago. So they are lying when they say only a few years. I was shocked to receive the email as I didn’t think I would have been affected. I would not believe a word Optus officials are saying.

@smh @Optus are only giving credit to existing customers to replace their license if they give Optus their new licence numbers. 1) they’ve proven they can’t keep them safe and 2) I’m an ex customer so what good is credit to me?!

@SenatorWong @AlboMP please make sure that @optus will pay for new passport, medicare card, driver's license of ALL current and former customer., not selective one coz we are not really sure who & how many data in store on that hacker. Pls dont trust Optus. Please. Thank you.

Optus lobbied for & received a relaxation of certain requirements for stress-testing its cyber defences under a 2021 reform to major service providers after arguing they were commercially onerous. Paul Fletcher was Minister of Communications. Fletcher worked for Optus 2000-2008
