@9NewsAUS “All that Optus' online service typically requires customers to provide their name, date of birth and mobile number to verify their identity”. #auspol Vax Cert shows name & DOB. QCode require name & mobile number. Hack both these and we’re all stuffed. Privacy is an issue!

Is there any where people can actually get support? Local optus store didn't want to help, call centre claims due to their own error they're locked out and there's no local support services I can contact to fix it.

@Telstra I’m with Telechoice (which uses the Telstra network) - although I have Telstra landline and internet. Can I still use the app for this mobile problem? My neighbour is with Telstra. His partner is with Optus and has no problem.

@narrasvt In the instance of an emergency, customers should still dial 000. Where there is a mobile service outage during an emergency, Optus recommends television, radio, the internet and emergency services as vital sources of information in such situations. (2/2)

@kbrspace @techcouncil_aus Today the suburbs of Narrabeen and Collaroy were smashed by a mini cyclone. People needed to contact family and get information but Optus has been conducting planned maintenance for the last 6 weeks and there was ZERO network service. Optus was not there when we needed it 😞

@Optus hey this is the last resort. Your bots have cut my mums phone service off and left her stranded and stressed out for christmas! She can’t even ring the customer service line wtaf??!
