@LesStonehouse @Optus Even telstra provides free router upgrades if you are a reasonably long standing customer I was with telstra 6 years never paid for a router Change ISPs If she's on fixed wireless skymesh are brilliant and cheap

  • buschmann_josh Josh Buschmann (@buschmann_josh) reported

@Optus Internet been dropping out constantly since Monday in 3437 area. Happens at least once a month for days at a time, service is horrible and unusable for working conditions and anything else. ETA on a fix? Considering a new ISP. If you can even smell rain your service drops.

  • Thought_Patrol Thought Patrol (@Thought_Patrol) reported from Kiama, State of New South Wales

    Normal service resumed thanks @Optus

@Win98Tech Once had a problem with my internet, the phone line was connected to the internet. Optus knew this whilst I was on tech support and yet they still got me to reset the modem.

  • JoGwatkin Joanne G-W (@JoGwatkin) reported

@LesStonehouse @Optus Oh dear, its awful isn't it - my 96 y.o. mum has troubles too with Telstra and self & husband live remotely where we can only get Telstra (& no mobile) and we can spend months & months without a 'phone ... & we run a business from home. Universal Service? Nightmare.

@LesStonehouse @Optus I am sick to death of technology - my phone is not synced to my computer, MSN interrupts email and the support people with my internet provider are in Indiaxx

  • ArtMarieCalais @Marie Calais 💉💉😷😷💃💃 (@ArtMarieCalais) reported

@LesStonehouse @Optus Few yrs ago Optus was supposed to send new sim card out for my portable modem. Took 6 wks because had wrong address (existing customer 3 yrs) & people got it were away for Christmas. Went into Telstra & got modem within a week. Service not always good but better than Optus.

  • SmeeHereAgain Joe -GoEarly-GoHard_GoHousholds (@SmeeHereAgain) reported

@LesStonehouse @Optus Why use optus or telstra The biggest players are the most expensive and the biggest under performers in the market. Plenty of excellent smaller players out there. When I was troubleshooting internet problems the calls were always for the main players

  • 163Townsend Jason Townsend (@163Townsend) reported

@LesStonehouse @Optus I had my internet not work for months once. They tried to get me on a **** dongle with like 200mb a month while still charging me for 200gb a month. Didn’t happen.

  • fdcollins24 Torch the hypocrites (@fdcollins24) reported

@LesStonehouse @Optus The modem is supplied by the NBN, while the router is provided by the internet service provider (ISP). If the former is at fault, contact the NBN. If the latter, switch ISPs & get another (cheap) router. Mind you, all ISP routers are cheap crap which is why I built my own.
