@ClareONeilMP NSW is not allowing victims of the Optus data leak to change drivers license unless you can prove you are a victim of a case of identity theft. By then it's too late & the damage has been done. Why aren't they allowing all those who were affected, to change their license? #auspol

@Optus @RunnerSA18 A telecommunication company who is pretty terrible at communicating with its affected customers!

  • MisterMyztik Myztik (@MisterMyztik) reported

@jurdman @Optus We were with optus for 20+ years.. Their customer service in recent years has taken an absolute dive...

  • ChrisEgginton Chris Egginton (@ChrisEgginton) reported

@SallyLawry @karenandrewsmp Alas not fixable. The then Minister for Communications Fletcher lowered standards for security and here we are. Damage done. Optus and the former LNP government need to make a public apology to the customer base while they sue.

@saci68 @ClareONeilMP @billshortenmp Same here. Initial email and nothing more since then. I’m not going to change everything, get a new passport etc etc if I don’t have to. It’s been a total **** show from the beginning. Minister, you need to come down hard on Optus everyday until they update us with next steps.

@KevKellaway @Optus I think you have it right, Kev. If you read between the lines they are basically saying SO LONG SUCKERRR. I know if I don't pay my Optus bill they will cut my phone off. It sucks.

  • turnip502 turnip50 (@turnip502) reported

@joshgnosis @PatsKarvelas HAHA, more stupidity; what do you expect if you leave a server 'open', without even passwords? The hacker should be appointed head of OPTUS IT; he is better than the fools and morons there. As ever with bad businesses the CEO and Board stay when they should be sacked.

  • martinwalsh Martin Walsh 🇺🇦 (@martinwalsh) reported

@kcarruthers @stilgherrian @OdinsToenail Immediate thought was how many business cases & requests for IT Security resources been turned down? At Microsoft PII data shared responsibility by IT & Marketing ‘cause marketing knew potential reputational implications, are primary users of data. We need Optus whistleblower.

******* livid. Just got a letter from @Optus that my drivers license and details have been stolen despite the fact I don't even have an account and never have had one. Like 4 years ago I went to sign up, changed my mind and they kept all my info for some reason.

  • recneps51 Komrade (@recneps51) reported

Optus have been charging me $2.20 monthly for using BPay and not Direct Debit. I complained and rejected a one off waiver and said I was going to ombudsman. They rang back today offered 12 months waiver. Offer withdrawn if I go to ombudsman. Lodge complaint with ombudsman people.
