    @masericha @albericie @Optus Me too. Twice for the same problem. As I said to the person who was there to put the flames out "All that was needed was to key in ACTIVE ". She said yes. It took 3 months of no home phone or mobile. I had to go and find a public phone to call them.

    @albericie @Optus After 16 phone calls to stop charging me to service they didn’t deliver, I had no option but to cancel my credit card. After 4 months they referred me to debt collectors. Matter wasn’t resolved until I complained to Ombudsman, after which they resolved it to my satisfaction

    @albericie @DebCansdell @Optus These people work for peanuts. They are given a script and have to stick to it or they will lose their jobs. Concentrate on giving Optus **** but leave those poor bastards in Manila out of it.

    @albericie @Optus And the nightmare that is Telstra is [worse], [the same] or [better]. Take you pick. Hours roll into days roll into weeks. Sad really - including for the people who work for these monoliths - some try to help .... OK for me at the mo (touchwood) 🥺

    @albericie @Optus Emma I’m lodging a complaint with the ombudsman for an issue that dragged for 4 months. They are so big an organization that can’t work amongst each other to get things done

    @albericie @Optus I've been trying to get a mobile phone unlocked since early November. Still no joy. @Optus have the worst. service. ever.

    @albericie @Optus Switch to Aussie Broadband Emma. Honestly. You won't regret it. No lock in. An actual Australian call centre and they do go above and beyond to try and help. I left Optus be NBN transitioned and was the best thing I ever did.

    @albericie @Optus I tried to cancel online then on the phone. The tech still turned up. When i complained they had a record of the chat that proved i cancelled and was refunded the money

    @albericie @Optus I cancelled Foxtel recently and the experience was traumatic. I was repeatedly grilled as to why I was terminating an account I had opened 22 years ago. When I told him, he refused to accept it. I had never been rewarded for loyalty and now it as if foxtel had done me a favour.
