  @MeshForce I’m so glad I switched away from @Optus. They’re now forcing everyone to go in store to make a SIM switch including eSIMs because they still don’t support Apple’s eSIM Quick Transfer. Such a headache.

  Would not be fun times in Optus tech. I have some professional empathy:it is a potential nightmare for all companies & orgs these days. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. All can be hacked, by software or social engineering.. Austerity on IT doesn't help either! #optusHack

  @DrKate_Miller @Optus The test network being connected to the internet is a really bad mistake they shouldn't have made. But this could have happened even without that mistake. At least Optus has notified us. One online shop I used got hacked and took 4 years to tell their customers.

  @manjusrii Retaining passport and drivers license info seems negligent to me and if it required to be retained then surely a breach of the privacy act? Can we expect criminal or civil remedies? Asking as both a cyber academic and an Optus customer
