Having a weirdly reassuring chat with @optus support where they're unable to find a record of the Optus-branded phone they sold me so are struggling to work out what actual make/model it is. #oprushack

@VictorDominello Went to service NSW yesterday to do this and they refused, saying they weren't doing it for people who were requesting it solely for the Optus hack

  • EEnuph EnoughsEnough ☢️💡 (@EEnuph) reported

Optus hacker says they've release 10k identities. I read Optus was contacting those most at risk, first. I was contact last Friday. Many were notified on Saturday. I never notified Optus when I changed my name in 2018 so I'm hoping my identity can't be used 🤞.

@randlight I was an Optus customer for just one day two years ago. After giving up on Telstra customer service I signed up only to find Optus had no mobile coverage near my home. Now I get an email saying I need to protect myself from their loss of my data. Why were they allowed to keep it?

  • pennyfortheguy Penny (@pennyfortheguy) reported

@R_OTTIE @Jeremy_Kirk Are you with Optus? This could be the govt putting extra security on Optus customer myGov accounts prompting you to change password?

  • NickMcQuade2 Nick McQuade (@NickMcQuade2) reported

@olivianicholl20 @9NewsAUS @9NewsMelb No, Amaysim only uses the Optus network to operate its services. Amaysim was not affected in the breach.

  • liamtapper Liam Tapper (@liamtapper) reported

10,000 Optus customer details reportedly released by hacker. They are following through on their threats - more data releases until $1mill extortion is paid @sunriseon7 @7NewsAustralia

Loved watching Andrew Probyn shoot himself in the foot yesterday on the Optus breach claiming the Albanese had not mentioned it. Turns out the breach was possible because of the coalition lax laws that allowed them to be breached. Poor coalition fan boy. #auspol
