She’s pissing me ******** off … optus should be punished for allowing this to happen

  • TopGWinner TopG Warrior (@TopGWinner) reported

@petermortonidau @Optus @Stanleysmum1 LMAO because hackers spend more time and care so if the caller got good costumer service skills it's not Optus.

  • Ms_TM Miss Teschmacher 💙💛💙💛 (@Ms_TM) reported

@Optus is this current customers only affected by data breach or also those if us that cancelled >5 years ago because poor service? #fail

  • sirgunner1886 Jai 🇮🇳🇦🇺 (@sirgunner1886) reported

@andrew_the_pom @Optus Yeah, there's no point here. We 100% disagree on how this goes ahead, because large companies individually contacting each customer would definitely create hysteria. Also, it was on ABC news as a report and others too. It's not buried. 100% backing it.

  • jg_rat John Grey (@jg_rat) reported

@Optus @redruby17 "...what Optus is doing to support them"? So when I become the victim of identity theft because of your company's abject failure to maintain basic digital security measures, will you pay my legal fees and other expenses?

  • SayerBrian Brian Sayer (@SayerBrian) reported

@ianbfarquhar DOB is the means by which most sites verify who you are online/by phone. e.g, as I started typing this, a message came from my doctor to sign in with my DOB. When checking banks/phones/service providers DOB is wanted. Doesn’t answer why optus would have P/P or D/L though.

  • MauAmala Amala Mau (@MauAmala) reported

@danybash @Optus @RunnerSA18 according to their press release they have temporarily stopping SIM Swaps & Replacements, as well as Change of Ownership in our online, phone and messaging support teams. you have to go in store with your ID to get these changes done

  • neilw101 Neil Wray (@neilw101) reported

@7NewsAustralia @Optus Time for an unconditional release from contract for every customer who wants it, and at no cost or penalty to the customer: all costs and penalties born by Optus.

@R_Chirgwin How do we as customers protect ourselves from data breaches of corporations? When I contact Optus support I could be talking to anyone across s/e Asia who all have access to my personal data. BTW I haven't yet been contacted by Optus re the breach.

  • eddiemajor e.m. (@eddiemajor) reported

So, I escaped @Optus as a customer in late 2020. What're the chances my data was part of the megahack, does Optus even know?
