    @ClareONeilMP @billshortenmp We still haven’t been contacted by @Optus to tell us what data of ours was leaked, it’s incredibly frustrating to keep being told we’ve been ‘contacted’ when we haven’t, we only got the initial ‘your details have been leaked, we’ll be in touch soon’ email 10 days ago, please help

    @lito_lee77 @MadsMelbourne @Optus Yes..and most are stupid..unfortunately

    @andrew_the_pom @Optus I hope they lose every single customer over this! It’s just not good enough.

  • MadsMelbourne Miss Madeleine (@MadsMelbourne) reported

    @Andrewyeahnah @Optus Yes, service providers are also required to de-indentify and destroy personal information

    @tonytardio If Optus advise that 2.1 million people have had their personal information leaked & may have to replace 1) licence 2) passport 3) Medicare card I showed my licence they did not copy it. I have however bad to provide scans to equifax for two jobs for checking hacked

    @TracyWesterman Just like Optus need an independent inquiry on where they went wrong... The PTB sure have trouble seeing the basics when it suits them, huh. But what will change?

  • nim_jpg NIM (@nim_jpg) reported

    @Optus you still cant give me exact updates on my device. What’s the point of preorder, I don’t think I’ll get my sim-card and device soon, I’ll wait few more days before I cancel my order.

    @VDejan0000 Optus was a total inside job imo. Text book problem, reaction, solution. All to change privacy laws to the detriment of citizens. “Optus not cooperating” ie need law change, yeah right. Remember, Gladys went to Optus….

    @ToMyPirateShip @vince05656201 My thoughts exactly. An attempt at "see they're just as bad as us". This technically wasn't even a Telstra leak - it was a third party who had details of Telstra employees, not customers. Nice try Optus.

    It requires jumping between few govt departments for replacement of driving license. It can be reduced if Optus issues a direct one to one statement to consumer acknowledging the compromised document.
