    @trevorlong I am a current optus customer but got a generic email addressed as Dear Former Optus Customer. Not sure if this means my information has or has not been compromised? Do we know if the emails are personally addressed?

    @nestor_au @Optus @RunnerSA18 You don't have to wait for your current contract to expire. You now have sufficient grounds to end your contract if you lodge a complaint with the telecommunications ombudsman to terminate your contract. I successfully did this with Vodafone a decade ago.

    @Optus top of the list when managing an incident is messaging and communications to impacted users @OAICgov - as an optus customer, I've received nothing - and the "message us" link on their website is turned off..

    @davesayys Circles life, so Optus 4G. If it's crap I can always change as its month to month. But pro tip, put your email in and abandon cart for an extra discount.

    @Jeremy_Kirk Advice to those impacted: Report it to ACORN, IDcare and then do a credit stop (Experian, Illion, Equifax), plus alert your banks you are/were an Optus customer

    Also got an email from #Optus to tell me my details were stolen during their hack. But, it's ok, "We're not aware of anyone being caused any harm by this incident." Alrighty then.

    So based on what I have read on how data was ‘hacked’ from Optus, it went something like this. Hackers: Give me customer info. Optus: Here it is. Optus: you hacked us.
