    @DrVicFielding Her number has been spoofed by scammers. It's a random thing. She's not at risk, only if getting abused by those who call them back. They might be spoofing from the Optus number list Someone I know got a call from themselves one day. Hopefully telcos are working on a solution

    @Scutty 100%, Thought it was b/c I am a Medibank + Optus customer. I'm now ruthless. Don't know the no. + no mesg = block number.

    @janine_hendry @RedJules4 They’re the worse. I was on hold for an hour when I finally thought I was connected I could hear the call centre staff laughing & chatting until someone realised and hang up on me. Optus Call Centre is the worse.

    FYI for those affected by the #optushack @Optus offered a 12-month Equifax Protect subscription for credit reporting to those affected but failed to tell you in the email that the code they supplied for this expired in December 2023. If you haven't redeemed this too bad.

    @RecliningPanda @Optus @VodafoneAU This might be a good reason to dump Optus NBN (which drops out several times a day anyway and they refuse to do anything about it) and switch to a Vodafone 5G solution.

    @janine_hendry No, they don't. It took me 8 months to close an account with Optus, and even then it was only through thier debt collection agency. I sent many emails, spent hours on the phone. I even did a survey and gave them a poor rating in the hope that someone might contact me.

    @Optus I check your network status page whenever the daily dropouts happen. It always says no reported issues.

    @janine_hendry I found a Telstra shopfront that is owned and run by Telstra(not a franchise). The service was exceptional. Im one happy customer. I will never recover the time lost trying to get help from Optus.

    @Optus I have dealt with your support service before it was a total dead end. I'm not going to bother again.
