@Burgo0806 @me_dc @HullKiwi Yes you can apply to have your licence number changed. You have to fill out a form and go to a service NSW centre. Also take the email from Optus with you.

Class action required for @Optus losing current and former customers personal data. Poor @Optus has been a victim of a cyberattack they tell us. The real victims are the @Optus customers who provided personal details to a terrible 💩company with crap💩service and No security.

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Geeze thanks for NOT contacting me as a former customer....

The short version of the previous thread is I don't know why my details are in the Optus breach when I haven't been a customer between 2017 and now. #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach

John Raptis (@raptisj68) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@trevorlong You're lucky Trevor, I've been a customer since the analogue days and still haven't received an email from @Optus notifying me of the breach.

@LinkedInAU @ashbarty Ash like Optus - never the best and if you squeak out a win it’s because the other players screwed up. Retire when ahead cause you knew it was luck and not skill.

  • VaperNt

@MorawetzTom Passwords are not the major issue. You personal details such as Name Address Drivers licence ID Passport ID Birth date Etc are the serious issue for every @optus account holder.

@Jeremy_Kirk @betheworrall If this is true, hopefully a criminal consequence for the service provider. That is too easy a mistake. I get how it might have happened in a big IT project, but with the level of resources Optus has at its security disposal it’s inexcusable. Looking forward to the post mortem.

Pluck you, @optus ! The amount of spam I am getting is out of this world! As quick as every 5 minutes at times! How do you plan to fix this for everyone? #optus #OptusHack #fixthis

@Optus “Importantly, no financial information or passwords have been accessed.” Oh, whew!! I though we were in trouble there for a moment! … waits a moment until the attacker sells the data and the leak of PII allows a skiddy in China to take control of my bank accounts
