@redruby17 @itsmedeebs @kcarruthers Which is funny considering it was optus' fault that this happened in the first place. They left a test network publicly facing, which typically has less safeguards because they're filled with "dummy data" but they managed to get through to the actual live customer database

  • ipetev Pete Vee (@ipetev) reported

@optus **** you so much for providing my personal information to hackers. Fire your CEO, CIO & the idiots in the IT team who allowed a test system to be connected to the internet I look forward to any class action brought against you. I'm a customer of 25+ years but I'm gone ASAP

  • Karlos3601 Karlos360 (@Karlos3601) reported

@Optus @BeachGirlJan Customer for 13 years, multiple accounts. If i havent got an email yet and i have had my data stolen, you can bet your *** ill be taking legal action.

  • ipetev Pete Vee (@ipetev) reported

@Bearman4991 @Optus Yes. I am too. Trouble is - Will any of the others be any better. Telstra overcharge - we all remember #Vodafail and all the little mobile providers resell one of them

  • whereRuBatman Robin (@whereRuBatman) reported

@MadsMelbourne @Optus never give them real dob, because they do this, and more

  • wewatchu2 Dan On Stolen Land (@wewatchu2) reported

Got my Optus letter today. I don't do direct debit. So why do I have to monitor my bank? Ìsnt it a bank/optus job to notice odd transactions.? 2. Why have they ķept my DL no. ? 3. Service query unrelated and unknown. Dodgy?

  • CheTak__ चेतक (@CheTak__) reported

The worst thing about @Optus data leak is their response. Tears and trying to play victim does not help. Their customer support need to understand that it’s us the customers who are victim of Optus’s negligence.

  • VictorNarro ***** (@VictorNarro) reported

Never ever think again that when you give away your personal data it is going to stay safe; once you put it in a form, it’s out there in the wild. #OptusClassAction #OptusHack #Optus

  • ipetev Pete Vee (@ipetev) reported

@Optus @NetflixANZ @optussubhub If I link my Netflix service to anything Optus will you publish it to the internet like you did my personal information?

  • jodiehastweeted Jodie (@jodiehastweeted) reported

For Optus customers impacted by the #databreach has anyone: 1. Cancelled their Optus account successfully over the phone? 2. Already had their personal information used? 3. Had confirmation from Optus of support in the way of identity theft monitoring?
