@Oz_Abi Hey Abi, we’re aware of an issue still impacting SMS for some Optus customers (Ref#23889943). We are working to restore services as a priority. We recommend restarting your device and resetting your Network settings. Alternatively, we suggest data messaging services (1/2)

@Shabolition @Optus I had also tried the 'Help' messaging service on the app. You would think their first response to my 'I can't send texts' would be that there is a known outage / issue. Not waste my time taking me through a whole set of processes to try and fix it when I had NO hope!!!!!

@Optus hi optus, can't send text messages on the network for 24hrs now, reset all settings on pixel phone, wife on iPhone and same network, same issue. Error 38 shows after each failed message. Can't receive either. Thanks Mike

@Optus why do myself and others have to keep checking your mentions to find updates to the SMS issue? Why haven’t you put out a statement and why isn’t the issue showing on your outages page? Almost 24 hours without being able to send an SMS - fix this!

Mark down July 15 as a Thursday night clash between @freodockers & @GeelongCats at Optus. As noted by @sirswampthing, would end a streak of 5 years without a Thur/Fri night game for Freo. Not yet confirmed (no doubt we'll be dealing with more Covid mess by then), but likely.
