@SueCartwright1 Ohh yes. Poor Optus.. saying “be vigilant”… pity they weren’t. Why were they holding that information?

  • rufamus Chris (@rufamus) reported

@Optus @mitchostheleo No @Optus, the fastest way to communicate is via the same means that you allowed to be stolen: direct to the customer via a text message or email. Are you guys serious?!

  • Em_speaking Em (@Em_speaking) reported

“Hey, all your data has been stolen, but you can contact us through the app”… the one that has NEVER WORKED @Optus #OptusHack

  • mike_hasarms Mike Healy (@mike_hasarms) reported

If you're an Optus customer it's important to change your passwords — which were not stolen, and shouldn't be the same as anything in their DBs anyway — and to cross your fingers regarding your name, DOB, license number and address.

  • CanningTobias Tobias Canning (@CanningTobias) reported

Lol @Optus still haven’t received any emails what so ever from you about the data breach as I’m sure many other customers haven’t either. Pretty pathetic form what’s meant to be a top notch service provider! 👀

  • SkogNymfe ☆♡Ⓐ □IS●ok (@SkogNymfe) reported

@shanebazzi Jeez , been looking at optus response to this. It's basically oops. It's an Australia problem.

  • AnthonyW_AU Anthony W (@AnthonyW_AU) reported

@kbrspace Hi Kelly, I would like to cancel my contract / plan with you as a customer with no financial penalties, happy to return handset. I just want to walk away from you as a customer and have nothing else to do with Optus. #optus #fail

  • stevosplace01 Noneofyourfuckingbuisness (@stevosplace01) reported

@moatybuns @cameronwilson Yes I have also been a customer for twenty years, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back. I have family I needed to protect from a certain country. if it was a goverment that hacked everyone's details it a massive problem. Optus may have put my family at risk.

  • matt__nicholls Matt Nicholls (@matt__nicholls) reported

Normal people who are victims of Optus' security breach: Oh ****, gotta change all my passwords. Me, a poor newspaper owner: Hopefully the hackers feel sorry for me and send me money

  • isaacafrica_ Isaac Africa (@isaacafrica_) reported

Following a cyberattack on its networks, Australia's largest telecom company, Optus, reported that both current and past customer data was accessed.
