  Perth's tribute to Nicky Winmar has come down following his conviction on assault charges. A Bendigo court found the former St Kilda champion guilty of dragging a woman by the hair and repeatedly striking her head against a door. WA Premier Roger Cook ordered the bronze figure's removal from Optus Stadium, calling it inconsistent with the state's stance on violence against women.   @Kate3015 Long ago I recommended to Optus the reasons they should not consider Huawei, I had a techo team from Huawei walk me through how they would treat the Data Centres and the router installations, they insisted only Huawei techo engineers would install them, it was open to anybody dialing in and accessing, so it was a big no. This smells the same, very much so.

  @JH_Otway_Ranges @FranMooMoo Hanlon’s Razor or whatever razor that states never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity. Optus staff literally left a URL public that was supposed to be private and someone stumbled on it.

  How many times in the past 3 years have telecommication services in Australia been disrupted? #Telstra #Optus More evidence which strongly suggests Telstra and Optus aren't up to it. Lack of investment in infrastructure? #StarLink is winning more customers because of these lack lustre telcos. Telstra has suffered an outage that disrupted calls, mobile data and some Triple Zero calls across the country after reports of the problem emerged on Wednesday morning. The telecommunications company, which has apologised to its customers, has said its CEO Vicki Brady was on annual leave.

  @theheraldsun Telstra’s outage affected many states but Victoria’s train network was most affected. Why more than other states? State government stuff up. Optus has had outages too so you shouldn’t be fully reliant on these telcos.

  @WesleySouthcott @ScomoCchio No. Optus has had outages too. And their response was just as pathetic as Telstra’s. But the point remains, huge service providers that can cause disrupt/impact nationwide are not held to account in any meaningful or significant way.

  Update 2: Helped to log into messaging (good). Now I discover the complaint is filed under 'a credit default' - wtf! Called to review plan and get new phone. I'm back to the person that said 'no' this morning. Would be funny if it wasn't so utterly infuriating...@Optus
