  @Optus @iheartguitar If you're interested in alternatives @VodafoneAU had been great especially with their 4G backup, so even if NBN goes down the connection still works. Nowadays internet isn't a luxury, it's livelihood and companies need to step up their game to match.

  @Optus R. Sorry to say, only ever saw a 5G symbol on my phone whilst in the Optus shop. Never saw it again. Gave it a month then switched. Figured Brisbane would have better coverage (or at least ‘some’ coverage) Hope others had better luck.

  @techAU bit misleading though - there are very small coverage pockets for 5G right now and there's wild fluctuations in speed (have seen anywhere from 100-550 Mbps on my Telstra hotspot). Also Optus fixed 5G is severely capped - most people only get 50-60 Mbps via that service.
