How about Optus pay their fine money directly into those customer’s bank accounts? Then, let customers know that the CEO’s on multi million bucks a year, have decided to reduce their salaries by at least one million, then pass that over to the people affected. #Optus

As an @optus customer I haven’t received any correspondence regarding the data breach and have no idea if my data has been compromised.

@MoarToast @Optus My partner got sick of waiting and chased them up. They quickly confirmed the bad news

@GrassCouch @samishah @Optus My view, it’s a massive security ****-up. I suspect any security professional would summarise it as such, not my specialisation however.

Speaking as an Optus customer, I am so glad that Fletcher or Fifield are not responsible for dealing with this problem. Unlike O'Neil, they would have been acting as an extension of Optus PR & figuring out ways of shovelling money at the telcos to "solve the problem". #abc730

@Optus @RunnerSA18 I have a question. And please consider it seriously. Why did a number of developers use that test platform and not one of them, not one, raised the alarm that the platform was locked down with the most basic of security? This is a serious systemic failure. Multiple fail points.

@max_i_girl @diannemuterbig2 @abcnews Karen was made look silly in QT. Then asked to go to ABC and talk about Optus breach. What a crap shows now on the ABC.

@siobhan_curran @Optus FWIW my wife is a customer and did get contacted. I don’t think silence is very comforting, but maybe that means you’re not involved?
