@Optus I haven't been an optus customer for well over 2 years. Why did you keep (and leave unguarded) any of my information when it was not necessary for any business or contractual purpose? You should be sued into oblivion.

@Optus waiting for the resignation of your CEO. This data breach is unacceptable. You kept my details from years ago as a former customer? Why? I’ve received the email today. I don’t think a few tears from Kelly Rosmarin is enough to sort this out. I knew

@masericha @Optus When I messaged they wanted my details to confirm my account! I'm a previous customer and I got the email to say my info was taken - like I'll hand over any other info to them to confirm it. @Optus tell us what you're doing to fix your own mess.

@John__Donegan I saw someone recommend an ID investigation service you can use to see if your credentials are being used elsewhere on the internet. I think Optus need to fund 11m subscriptions to this service.

@Optus This is why forcing people to give you auto payment details is selfish and stupid. You left a loop hole in your security and now people are at Risk. People should be able to use manual payments as you cant even provide security. #OptusHack #OptusClassAction

Imagine if the hackers actually stole the data (rather than duplicating it) and Optus couldn’t bill 11 million people. They’d fix it pretty ****** quickly.

@clarkes @emmaandollie @Optus Compensation for accountability, irresponsible conduct and poor security on a global scale that will have our personal ID details sold world wide on the dark web & there has to be immediate changes for how much ID these companies can legally require

@Jeremy_Kirk @betheworrall If this is true, hopefully a criminal consequence for the service provider. That is too easy a mistake. I get how it might have happened in a big IT project, but with the level of resources Optus has at its security disposal it’s inexcusable. Looking forward to the post mortem.
