@CartwheelPrint @slsandpet interesting, when I had some identity theft issues with Optus 3 years back, told them to put Red Flag against any attempts to sell me accounts & phones, after that I got even more phone calls from Optus sales people, mostly from Philipines to ok new accounts,so much for red flags

Optus 🥺 "Other states, including Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales are all offering affected customers new licence numbers for free" Not WA, they can't do it, Tassie says it will cost you a visit to a service centre and $12... 🤬🤬🤬

@VictorDominello Also I’m no longer an Optus customer - so will they reimburse me?! They gave away my details and seem to be confused about whether they care or not as I can’t get a clear answer out of anyone.

@MishStephenson @Optus Yep. Australia needs to head down the route of GDPR. And allow customers to be forgotten.

@Jeremy_Kirk Optus only told me yesterday 27/9/22 that as a former customer some of my personal information was accessed as part of the #OptusHack. Why has it taken so long for them to notify me?

@RiddelCath @VictorDominello Agree. The card number hasn’t been compromised anyway. Optus didn’t retain it. So it’s a useless solution to change something the hackers don’t have.

With this Optus hack, I hope the board knows that us customers haven't gone through our five stages yet. So I hope they're ready and if whats floating around the twitterverse is true, the person that made the call needs to step down

@MadsMelbourne @Optus Optus should tell customers what items of data they hold and assume that it has been stolen. Clogging the system with pointless requests for new passports and licences doesn't help those who need to change them.
