@Optus @RunnerSA18 @Optus I tried to cancel an unused service yesterday for which I am still being billed. Used online chat (while logged in to my account via app), representative said I need to go in to a store...and produce 100 points of ID. In context of what happened, you can't be serious.

  • Kimota Jonathan Crossfield (@Kimota) reported

@Leighlo @alexkidman @Optus This is more about me dreading having to help my father-in-law - who struggles with paying the gas bill, never mind this - through protecting himself and updating things. No email yet, but if he gets one, I’ll be billing Optus for the week of horror that ensues! 😬

  • eddielechat Nelle 🏝🌋🏄🍹 (@eddielechat) reported

@RichardKGrump @TPG_Telecom Have been with Amaysim for mobile phone for eight years with no problems at all. Looking to move from Optus for internet. Have been poor for many years. The nightmare of changing email address has kept us welded on. Unlike some others, Optus does not provide email-only service.

@longhairlout @Optus get your damn house in order. You’re an absolute disgrace of a company.

  • DonsBombers ❤️ Dons 🖤 (@DonsBombers) reported

@jen_stratton @Optus My email address has changed since I was a customer of theirs… Maybe I should contact them to make sure that I’m not one

  • ArnoldRimmer1 ArnoldJ (@ArnoldRimmer1) reported

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I spoke to someone via chat to change the data plan . They said that due to a "systems issue " I had to physically go into an optus branch

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews Anyone know how I can check to see if my identity was in the Optus hack? Is Optus providing this as a service, or are they just doing PR salvage now?

  • DebauchedInOz DebauchedInOz - 💉💉💉 (@DebauchedInOz) reported

So I opened my work email, there's a message from postman (they make a tool for testing APIs) saying you can try their tool on various public APIs, strangely enough they didn't mention the Optus customer data one. Not a fan of postman, I'd rather write some code.

@anncherie49 @mariewalsh18 @Optus Actually I just figured it out. I was a Virgin Mobile customer, who were fully owned by Optus.

  • yo__fo YoFo 🇦🇺 (@yo__fo) reported

@adamliaw Is it because they know optus probably won't pay to repair all this damage?
