    @jlandsme_93 The media in WA refuse to press Optus management over it. The drainage system there has issues all the time. The soil develops a slippery biofilm on it due to the **** drainage system

    With Optus - national outage, price hikes ($45-60 monthly) and spotty, unexplained 4G and 5G city coverage. Decide to jump to Telstra. With Telstra - national outage... Yep.

    @TimjboAU I will be more than interested if this has been issues related to routers in call centres, and what was the country of origin, I did recommend long ago to Optus the reasoning for not using a certain China Telco provider. I wonder if history has repeated?

    @VoteLewko @Starlink And look who is confusing satellite internet with mobile phone services. Starlink is looking at reselling Optus mobile coverage as Starlink. Not using satellite phone service. It’s written in the article.

    @therevaknight Because of Government incompetence, they had no simple backup system, they made NO allowances for technological failure, complexity is the enemy of reliable; the reliability issue was known (ref previous OPTUS outage). NO REDUNDANCY for critical infrastructure! @heidimur

    @MiddleMoney @aussiewongm @Anneeokeefe I'm pretty sure Metro went down during the Optus outages last year. But restoration time was quicker iirc.

    @NoticerNews Same reason for the recent Optus outage. This woke CEO & Labor government needs to swing.
