@bellebelle @Optus I suspect they're trying to figure out a solution/resolution before contacting customers. (i.e what preventative measures taken & a here's a free month worth of data). I feel for you. The reputational damage will be costly in addition the regulatory fines coming their way.

Let me guess @Optus kept detailed records on past customers who no longer have a relationship with them? It is high time we had right to be forgotten laws like the EU #OptusHack #securitybreach #databreach Epic fail from @Optus and I'm expecting some linkedin profiles to change.

@mads_g0 This has been one thing in a long line of ****** service I've had from Optus and I'm right now looking at my options to move. It's been clear all along that they have a nasty disregard for their customers.

A cyber-attack on Optus has potentially seen the personal information of up to 9 million people stolen. That’s about half of Australia’s adult population. Where on earth is this Labor Government and what are they doing to help those affected?

@JR_Smtith @Optus @DavidJay_AU An important lesson to never use the same password for multiple websites, particularly if they access your banking details.

@bennpackham So just playing a straight bat but if this has been caused by a crim - or criminal enterprise - can’t Optus just pay them off? That’s what they’re waiting for, isn’t it? In the meantime, can’t Optus re-issue phone numbers to their customers? If the info is a package deal, 1/2

No email from Optus about our accounts yet. Those with bad intentions could simply ask Adani for our details. Like our home address they released in court documents, despite the death threats I’ve received from their supporters.

@jennylmackinnon May 2017 apparently... So angry @Optus is deflecting and acting like it's the customer's responsibility. The should be writing to EVERY affected customer, or former customer, informing them what had been jacked...
