Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • AdverseVariable AdverseVariable (@AdverseVariable) reported

I don't usually join in on class action lawsuits, but as a former @Optus customer I most definitely will be joining in when it happens. Absolute and complete incompetence on their part. A junior developer can secure data better than Floptus. #OptusHack #optusfail #floptus

  • ServiceNSW Service NSW (@ServiceNSW) reported

@NickHayden Hi Nick, ID Support NSW is working with Optus to support customers with NSW government-issued credentials, such as a NSW driver licence or birth certificate, if they have been impacted. 1/2

  • CurtPahl Curt Pahl (@CurtPahl) reported

@Optus so if you are moving house today it’s all the cyber attacks fault and you have to go in store. Stop using this as an excuse and help your customers rather than hiding behind a script

  • jonathonnunan Jonathon Nunan (@jonathonnunan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@nadinevoncohen @patrickkeneally Only contact I've had from Optus has been apologies for our NBN dropping out. Which is roughly about ten times a day. But hey, who could have foreseen the copper technology solution not being up to the job?

  • Granville4879 💉💉💉💉 Granville in FNQ 😷 (@Granville4879) reported

@Neopseudo And, I'm guessing, Optus is in the top five in providing secure customer service?

  • troyhunt Troy Hunt (@troyhunt) reported

Meanwhile, we’ve got Optus saying nothing about how this happened whilst data is being spread through a popular hacking forum (not on that scary “dark web” either, just a normal website), and anonymous parties passing how the whole thing went down directly to @Jeremy_Kirk

  • VicRoads VicRoads (@VicRoads) reported

VicRoads is working with @VicGovDoT to understand the potential exposure to customers with a Victorian Driver Licence resulting from the recent Optus Cyberattack. We appreciate the community’s patience as this potential issue is being worked through with Optus directly.

  • gwynne007 .\dam Gwynne (@gwynne007) reported

@DeanRosario @Optus Does that actually solve the issue? If it does then absolutely.

  • The1770Impact constitutionwalk (@The1770Impact) reported

@VWHawkesbury @joshgnosis one years free service warranted. The irony is Berejeklian is in an executive office position at Optus.

  • AbstractCode colin.traverse_ (@AbstractCode) reported

@simone_au @Optus This is an organisation that exposed customer and former customer PII via a public unauthenticated API and the claimed the attacker was sophisticated and that Optus was the victim. We're way beyond tone deaf.
