@recneps51 @Optus @NSW_FairTrading I bpay to telstra also, I know they charge me for a paper bill, which I request but never receive, but I donโ€™t know about the other bit. Iโ€™d never allow direct debit, especially Optus, I used to ring them every other month about issues.

@Telstra 2hrs this morning wasted with your member chat trying to take out a new contract, long term customer counts for nothing, go on Optus site and as a nobody I got a better deal straight off.

@Optus Thanks Nard. What causes an outage that only affects webmail?

@madameshawshank @PringPhillip Love is blind... and stupid evidently. Career straight down the **** chute, although I high paying gig at optus is 2nd best I suppose.

@OeterB @Fozbyte That's what I did! I'm an optus customer so it's included in my plan.

@Telstra Yep. Unfortunately Iโ€™m so disgusted with the way Iโ€™ve been treated as a customer will see me head to @optus Telstra high prices dont reflect the service you receive from staff when there is a problem. Itโ€™s disgraceful. By far the worst telco I have dealt with, ever.

@eevblog I have both, NBN service stability is far less than Starlink's, so it is my backup. I could probably push traffic through both, did that with Telstra and Optus cable modems back in the day, but Starlink is so fast I haven't needed to bother.

@chatzi41 @iSpeedtestOS That's the iOS 26.5 update adding end-to-end encrypted RCS (beta) support on Apple's side. In Australia it still requires carrier activation from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone โ€” they're not live yet. Rollout still looking like mid-to-late 2026. Toggle should appear in Messages once your carrier enables it.

@Optus @optus_help 3rd day no NBN internet, so why do I pay $100 a month for no service? Superloop and Starlink looking very appealing right now. Maybe time for me to switch?

@RocketTank123 Aussies have love/hate relationship with Telstra. It is the most expensive and customer service often terrible but for rural coverage it is the best by far. Optus or Vodafone would love to take some of Telstraโ€™s pie with $ASTS remote coverage
