  @Zaica71 Hi there, as mentioned by my colleague, this is a built-in safety feature within the phone. Based on the notification, it seems that the change is not permanent and will unblock all numbers for a 2-hour period to ensure that you are reachable by emergency services.   @lordlaw92 Landlines still exist, just nobody uses them so people stopped paying for the Service. I mean 'why pay for home phone and mobile?' as with most things in society people simply don't expect things once established to ever fail. It's why optus and telstra are strung out atm.

  In what they claim is a world first, $NOK and Optus used a robot dog to measure mobile coverage and design 6G networks. They also conducted a 6 GHz spectrum trial, in which a user could download a 2 hour HD movie in just a few seconds, or support over 140 simultaneous 4k video streams.

  @jazzpk Australia switched off its 3G network in 2024, since then Jazz IR roaming stopped working in Australia. Community raised it many times with Jazz, to always receive a reply to adjust network settings to no avail. Please talk with Singtel/Optus to restore Jazz IR in Australia.

  @aamir_ibrahim01 Australia switched off its 3G network in 2024 and Jazz IR roaming stopped working in Australia. Community raised it many times with Jazz, to always receive standard replies, to no avail. Please talk with Singtel/Optus to restore Jazz IR in Australia.

  @MichaelRuyg yep, when they built the NBN fixed wireless tower, that carries optus and vodafone as well, it had a backup generator. then the tower got "upgraded" with 6 months of regular outages and then next power outage we discovered the backup generator and the ability to call 000 was gone

  @KobieThatcher @Ann19851873 Agree 💯 Also with the recent Telstra outage and formed Optus outage. Both affecting Eftpos networks and ATM’s. Cash is king for many reasons including privacy. Do not let cash die out.
