  • EugeneDayDSc T. Eugene Day (@EugeneDayDSc) reported

So, you can only turn on Autosave in @Office365 if you upload everything to the cloud. You can't just autosave to your own computer. What a terrible product.

  • Raantuva null (@Raantuva) reported

This explains the downtime on various Office365 services I'm forced to use for work. I have Downdetector on my phone because I'm a huge nerd and any time it even SORT of slows down I check and I'm usually right to. 🙄 I really REALLY would like to go back to my old job pls

  • OfficeSupport OfficeSupport (@OfficeSupport) reported

@sunilbg Hi, Sunil. We apologize for delayed response. Base on our understanding, you can't reactivate pre-installed Office 2019 Student and home after installing Office 365. Please send us a Direct Message as we need to utilize more characters while we address your issue. Cheers.

This is perhaps an #OldLadyTweet - but calling upon the twitterverse IT help desk. ics file from an Office 365 account, the file shows up in gmail with the error, "unable to load event data" How do I fix it?

  • the_questmaster Paul Hayes (@the_questmaster) reported

@NoSheds Yeah, I already have an Office 365 subscription, so that's not an issue.

  • Jon_Flowers22 Jon 🇪🇺 (@Jon_Flowers22) reported

@lanceicarus @steve_lieber @russpitts Yep. I'm an IT tech in a school. MASSIVE amount of work went into lockdown. But we were prepared, had implemented SharePoint, Office 365 and Teams in 2019. Then lockdown happened. Never hear about something we did well, but if the local ISP is down for 10 minutes, it's all us.

@Office365 Any folders I have created in the past month through OneDrive windows 10 do not show up on my iPhone app. I’ve tried every fix found online and nothing works. In the past week new files also don’t sync within folders that show up. Please help!!!!!

@TheAnnaGat One I made a few days ago, when my GFs laptop wasn’t working on NYE Me: “You have office 365 right?” Her: “Yeah, why?” Me: “ Well there’s your problem, this year has a leap year and so it’s the 366th day” Her: “you’re the worst”

  • imokx Irene 〽️o (@imokx) reported

@JohnAFlood @amne51ac If a lawyer uses the free version of GSuite to work on confidential docs, you’re allowing Google to scan the contents of the documents and that’s concerning for tech competency AND confidentiality issues. Enterprise versions of GSuite and Office365 cost about the same.

  • Dave96792610 Dave (@Dave96792610) reported

@Office365 Any chance you can fix the reliability issues with 365 this year? Currently can't assign a license as global admin because "I don't have permission" and also why can retired parts of licenses be assigned if it generates errors?

  • sigsync Sigsync (@sigsync) reported

Centralized tamper proof controlled Office 365 email signature Sigsync service is a highly secured cloud-based Office 365 email signature solution. Signatures are added after emails are sent on Sigsync server and then sent to the recipient. Hence,

  • PEBKAC4 PEBKAC.LIVE (@PEBKAC4) reported

@Office365 whats happening with the admin portal today. It is sooooooo slow and taking 5 - 10 mins to do anything

  • andrewconnell Andrew Connell (@andrewconnell) reported

@Office365 on #macos is such a 2nd rate exp 😡. @Office clients constantly losing “permissions” to sync files (so you have to save synced files to your desktop then copy it > your @onedrive sync’d folder) out of the blue and magically fix itself a week later. #SadMacOffice

  • MichaelBender Michael Bender @ Home (@MichaelBender) reported

On day 5 of no response from @Office365 Data Protection team on an issue that should take 10 minutes to fix. At this point I may have to move my client to GSuite (which pains me to noend). Absolute worst customer service ever as a sharelholder and MSFT alumni.

  • bigjsl John Lindsay (@bigjsl) reported

Did a complete delete and reinstall of MacOS on my old MBP to see what not having 17 years of accumulated cruft is like. After install Calendar won't talk to Office 365 server. That's the cleanest possible install you idiots. Endless entering passwd. Untick, retick & it works.

  • PsykoRobot PsykoRobot (@PsykoRobot) reported

@AshtreyGaming @Dovah_Sil_Kriid @ReignofBane Or it shows they priced it wrong. Hit a 1 instead of a 2 or a 0 instead of a 9. Reminds me of a few years ago when Walmart online priced Office 365 Home subscription for $5.99. I bought 20 years worth until they caught the error. Still, my sales were not canceled.

  • S__Zeiss Steeven Zeiss (@S__Zeiss) reported

@Office365 Why don't you use GUIDs for emails? When I create a task based on an email and then move the email to a different folder the backlink from To-Do is broken. Is there any settings in the backend to solve this problem?

  • williambaer Bill Bär @Microsoft (@williambaer) reported

@JonRoperuk @WonderLaura @molnaragnes Hi Jon. There are no immediate plans to push these changes down to our on-premises servers. These deprecations are continued work toward bringing Microsoft Search to our Office 365 apps and services.

  • VenomousPathfin VenomousPathfinder (@VenomousPathfin) reported

I can't believe I'm too slow using Office 365 in 2020 and not much stuff was uploaded in my social media stuff such as my stories and writings / literature which aren't finish yet. I guess I'm too late now. I better get LibreOffice and see how it works. #Office365 #LibreOffice

  • thehidingsuit Alter_ego (@thehidingsuit) reported

@MichaelBender @Office365 Remember my mailbox issue 😭😭😭. Call nd tomorrow.

  • srpnor Steve P (@srpnor) reported

Is it OK that Microsoft promote an Office 365 subscription that you have to click "No thanks" on at login to an account that's marked as a child account? (Spoiler: ethically no. Legally? Don't know)

  • Seth_Horwitz Seth Horwitz (@Seth_Horwitz) reported

@BradMunchen Why’s that? I don’t follow. While incredibly slimy, how is going to a pseudo-subscription based model an issue? I don’t see how this is different than Microsoft selling Office, and at the same time giving three free months of Office 365 with a new PC.

  • Trouffman Trouffman (@Trouffman) reported

Lovely when @Office365 support folks ask you to run #Wireshark for organizer & attendees in a meeting when network has been ruled out of the problem...

  • matt40k Matt Smith (@matt40k) reported from Ipswich District, England

@way0utwest Also still “SQL Server” Tbh - the last few sql sats I’ve been too have been more data focused and less about sql server - thanks to Power BI, also a cross over with Office365/Sharepoint

  • rmbhsenglish Rachel Martin (@rmbhsenglish) reported

@icod We switched from Google Classroom to Teams this Sept because meetings are better integrated and it was thought to be easier to work with Office 365 (kids had problems opening different file types on GC) It is more clunky and less intuitive but gets easier. Check Mike Tholfson

  • arekfurt Brian in Pittsburgh (@arekfurt) reported

@NathanMcNulty @CrispinCowan0 @Office365 Office has a pretty robust sandbox in Protected View. Ironically too robust; it's so locked down to do much of anything with a doc you need to exit out of it. That is one nice thing about WDAG. It considerably expands on what you can do without exiting isolation.

  • NathanMcNulty Nathan McNulty (@NathanMcNulty) reported

@CrispinCowan0 @arekfurt @Office365 The root of the issue is that they just don't care about this attack vector for some reason. The downside to client-side is they like to use containers which has hardware and configuration implications. Cloud is cheap for them and gives better telemetry, but privacy concerns.

  • arekfurt Brian in Pittsburgh (@arekfurt) reported

@NathanMcNulty @CrispinCowan0 @Office365 But really, the foundational problem is that today you don't want any application with a complex attack surface to be handling things unisolated locally at all. Could you do macro execution in a cloud VM and stream that locally, with limited access to the local disk? Maybe.
