    @helloitsliam @Office365 @SharePlicity Is server down?

  • arekfurt Brian in Pittsburgh (@arekfurt) reported

@NathanMcNulty @CrispinCowan0 @Office365 But really, the foundational problem is that today you don't want any application with a complex attack surface to be handling things unisolated locally at all. Could you do macro execution in a cloud VM and stream that locally, with limited access to the local disk? Maybe.

@AshtreyGaming @Dovah_Sil_Kriid @ReignofBane Or it shows they priced it wrong. Hit a 1 instead of a 2 or a 0 instead of a 9. Reminds me of a few years ago when Walmart online priced Office 365 Home subscription for $5.99. I bought 20 years worth until they caught the error. Still, my sales were not canceled.

  • Dave96792610 Dave (@Dave96792610) reported

@Office365 Any chance you can fix the reliability issues with 365 this year? Currently can't assign a license as global admin because "I don't have permission" and also why can retired parts of licenses be assigned if it generates errors?

  • Raantuva null (@Raantuva) reported

This explains the downtime on various Office365 services I'm forced to use for work. I have Downdetector on my phone because I'm a huge nerd and any time it even SORT of slows down I check and I'm usually right to. 🙄 I really REALLY would like to go back to my old job pls

  • jane_t_smith jane robertson (@jane_t_smith) reported

@Office365 how can I contact business billing support without admin login? Our admin has left the company so I have no login details and the phone help desk will only speak to admin. Is there an email address or a contact form I can use? Thanks

  • NathanMcNulty Nathan McNulty (@NathanMcNulty) reported

@CrispinCowan0 @arekfurt @Office365 The root of the issue is that they just don't care about this attack vector for some reason. The downside to client-side is they like to use containers which has hardware and configuration implications. Cloud is cheap for them and gives better telemetry, but privacy concerns.

  • imokx Irene 〽️o (@imokx) reported

@JohnAFlood @amne51ac If a lawyer uses the free version of GSuite to work on confidential docs, you’re allowing Google to scan the contents of the documents and that’s concerning for tech competency AND confidentiality issues. Enterprise versions of GSuite and Office365 cost about the same.

  • GrhmParks Graham Parkin (@GrhmParks) reported

@tracyvds We had a similar problem and it was due to their location for office 365 as some countries do not have services like Sudan.

  • jonjones Jon Jones (@jonjones) reported

Anybody else have issues using Airmail with Office 365 accounts? A nontrivial number of important emails simply *never show up* inside Airmail, and I have absolutely no idea why. The only pattern is that they're important emails addressed specifically to me, not mailing lists.

  • PEBKAC4 PEBKAC.LIVE (@PEBKAC4) reported

@Office365 whats happening with the admin portal today. It is sooooooo slow and taking 5 - 10 mins to do anything

  • TravyMatty Travis (@TravyMatty) reported

Slack is already in trouble in its competition with Microsoft Teams (which comes free with Office 365, a business practice that I hate b/c it smothers the little guys but nonetheless) and to have an outage on this scale really hurts them.

@sunilbg Hi, Sunil. We apologize for delayed response. Base on our understanding, you can't reactivate pre-installed Office 2019 Student and home after installing Office 365. Please send us a Direct Message as we need to utilize more characters while we address your issue. Cheers.

@palafo @xeni Call me a dinosaur, but just use an on-site Exchange server and Outlook. And none of that Office365 BS. Make sure you turn off all connected experiences in Office.

  • rmbhsenglish Rachel Martin (@rmbhsenglish) reported

@icod We switched from Google Classroom to Teams this Sept because meetings are better integrated and it was thought to be easier to work with Office 365 (kids had problems opening different file types on GC) It is more clunky and less intuitive but gets easier. Check Mike Tholfson

@TheAnnaGat One I made a few days ago, when my GFs laptop wasn’t working on NYE Me: “You have office 365 right?” Her: “Yeah, why?” Me: “ Well there’s your problem, this year has a leap year and so it’s the 366th day” Her: “you’re the worst”

  • jwsamuel Jim Samuel (@jwsamuel) reported

@charlie_whyman 3) When Google had its outage a couple of weeks ago, it made me realize how little I could do when Google goes down. That started me rethinking my choice. 4) I have a growing distrust of Google. I need to have Office 365 for clients so I decided not to have both.

  • the_questmaster Paul Hayes (@the_questmaster) reported

@NoSheds Yeah, I already have an Office 365 subscription, so that's not an issue.

  • TeziusRJH Tezius // Gaming is for Everyone (@TeziusRJH) reported

@StephanFrost i never thought id say it, but damn i miss slack. our company moved over to teams/office 365 and it is TERRIBLE

  • Jon_Flowers22 Jon 🇪🇺 (@Jon_Flowers22) reported

@lanceicarus @steve_lieber @russpitts Yep. I'm an IT tech in a school. MASSIVE amount of work went into lockdown. But we were prepared, had implemented SharePoint, Office 365 and Teams in 2019. Then lockdown happened. Never hear about something we did well, but if the local ISP is down for 10 minutes, it's all us.

  • srpnor Steve P (@srpnor) reported

Is it OK that Microsoft promote an Office 365 subscription that you have to click "No thanks" on at login to an account that's marked as a child account? (Spoiler: ethically no. Legally? Don't know)

  • darksn0ww Charlie 🖥️ (@darksn0ww) reported

    @smoon_lee @Office365 I am. It's so slow.

  • J_bagpuss Jessica (@J_bagpuss) reported

@poulsm90 Thanks - any issues with Word? Though have just upgraded to office 365 so that might have fixed it

  • PhilPinol Phil Pinol (@PhilPinol) reported

@HealthyPinellas I’ve been trying to register since 12, 2 ‘5 hrs. After hitting “Register Here”, I get a ‘Server Busy’ But I also see a “outlook office 365”. Is you site set up to take Apple OS systems? Is that why I’m getting error or just under designed?

  • williambaer Bill Bär @Microsoft (@williambaer) reported

@JonRoperuk @WonderLaura @molnaragnes Hi Jon. There are no immediate plans to push these changes down to our on-premises servers. These deprecations are continued work toward bringing Microsoft Search to our Office 365 apps and services.

I can't believe I'm too slow using Office 365 in 2020 and not much stuff was uploaded in my social media stuff such as my stories and writings / literature which aren't finish yet. I guess I'm too late now. I better get LibreOffice and see how it works. #Office365 #LibreOffice

  • entmoots 🧧time for the urn🧧 (@entmoots) reported

Is slack down...... can @god throw me a bone and make office365 go down too.....

  • arekfurt Brian in Pittsburgh (@arekfurt) reported

@NathanMcNulty @CrispinCowan0 @Office365 Office has a pretty robust sandbox in Protected View. Ironically too robust; it's so locked down to do much of anything with a doc you need to exit out of it. That is one nice thing about WDAG. It considerably expands on what you can do without exiting isolation.

  • S__Zeiss Steeven Zeiss (@S__Zeiss) reported

@Office365 Why don't you use GUIDs for emails? When I create a task based on an email and then move the email to a different folder the backlink from To-Do is broken. Is there any settings in the backend to solve this problem?
