Bing: 100M+ daily active users. The company that runs Office, Xbox and Bing can run GitHub. If reliability is slipping, that's a priorities problem, not a scale problem.

This account is already successfully configured and working on five devices. However, I am unable to configure it on a sixth device. During the setup process, I receive an error message. First, after enabling and configuring auto patch most of my devices are falling or in noncompliance for “office 365 client management “. I looked the policy that was enabled by auto patch. Many other non compliance settings.

purana (@purana) reportedNoticed Microsoft is still shoving stuff down our throats. I have Office 365 without the AI stuff, and noticed the app now has a diamond in the top right corner on apps which is where they push to you AI upgrades.. Just give me the app without all the extra pushed crap.

Random Poser (@rndposer) reported@kmcnam1 MS Office 365 is a SCAM and now this! I don’t use AI agents even though I’m a senior developer at a large banking institution. I don’t see a use case considering AI still too slow to respond.

Daniel (@dan325) reported@nonlinear_james @atalocke I’m using it to manage my work office 365 email right now without any issue. Not IMAP, either. It has native exchange capabilities. Also, WTF is wrong with IMAP? Evolution’s biggest advantage is it doesn’t tether me to a proprietary OS. No copilot BS on my computer!

And Word isn't a DTP app. Some of us know how to use it very well and don't have these issues. Not saying Office 365 isn't a hell hole, but at least use the right app for the job at hand

Active Directory, Windows Server, Office365, Azure, all are relevant only because of entrenchment. If all software that only runs on Windows could run on Linux, then there would be no need for Windows.

Just one $30 license for the law firm. Nope. Blocked. It's not available to my account on Office 365 Markeplace, inside my Admin account [I am the global admin] and the block seems to be due to some technical issue between MOSA and MCA accounts. I have business premium subscriptions. They are making it DIFFICULT to BUY their already market-trailing AI. Maybe I should just spend all the law firm's money on ANTHROPIC. Herewegoagain (@Cryptlowani) reported@EvanLuthra What is going on with these tech companies just taking away more of our rights and charging us more to do so?????? Microsoft "updated" my Office 365 Home addition with the "New" version. Not knowing this at the time, I open up Outlook as usual and thre was the "New" version. Less functionality and unusable to me. I located the switch to go back to Classic toggle button, slid it over, and Bam, a pop-up survey appears asking me why I dont like the new version. So now I can't do anything, twice as much. I scroll down and hit the skip button, but it is grayed out. Next to it is the submit button greyed out. Now totally pissed off I start typing expletives into the survey form. Guess what you have to complete the form to skip it. I and now not just pissed off, exponentially, but also feeling like the smartest person on the freaking planet. I don't know when it happened but tech, just basic stuff, has totally gone into the toilet. How is AI supposed to run on top of this garbage?

Hello Chicken (@badbirb) reported@EvanOwen @tmnxeq @RhoRider I get where you are coming from. It does help *if implemented well*, just like any other software or process. It is way to early to judge effectiveness since most of the businesses are just having people use ChatGPT for random stuff and using copilot in office 365. When I did software consulting many clients would tell me they were “in the cloud” when all they meant is they have office 365 subs and a terrible sharepoint inplementation. AI is the same way. It will be several *years* before AI is used effectively in enterprise scenarios.

All that said, while astronauts are professionals, they're not IT pros and probably couldn't tell you the difference between outlook and an exchange server.

I don't own a cell phone, email is my communication with the world. I cancelled Office 365, moved my mx records for my domain and went down to $1.50 a month.

Historically, things moved at a slow enough pace that there was ample time to reasonably estimate the cost of an associate's tech stack. The value obtained from that stack was self-evident, exceeding its cost. For example, no rational firm was doing an ROI on whether a new associate should have a PC or an Office 365 license. It was table stakes. In this new AI world, both the costs and the potential value are radically changing on a routine basis. It makes it that much harder to have sound and stable financial governance models.
