    Still at a loss for words over what #amazon did to #playnewworld. I thought maybe they would have shut it down years ago but to release this huge new update and make a solid effort to fix a lot of the issues with the game only to rugpull everyone is baffling.

    @_m00nrise @Pirat_Nation @playnewworld They could set it up to do dedicated servers though that are player run. They are just ******** and will never do that. New world would do GREAT as Community hosted content or even as a sub based service as long as it wasn't pay to win. Remove the entire dev team, swap to sub base system. and start rebuilding with a team that gives a ****.

    @playnewworld You really should do atleast half the amount of $ refunded back. I bought this game once and refunded when you watered it down and changed design plans. Bought it again to see if you would fix it even bought it for someone else.

    I think with the announcement of @playnewworld shutting down i'm in a place where im done sparing peoples feelings around it. New world had technical problems but in the end its community sentenced it to death. I played 1400 hours as a PvE

    @playnewworld We spent real money on New World. Amazon released a major update just 1 month before shutting the game down. That’s not service ending that’s misleading players into spending more. This deserves refunds or compensation. #NewWorld #AmazonGame

    @MMORPGcom @playnewworld There were many talented people, but still: The game engine was rubbish Overall game was a buggy mess that they couldn't fix The game had no vision of tge playing loop Decisions and changes lacked consistency and were constantly contradicting previous changes It was inevitable

    @playnewworld lmfao, hit lvl 70 yesterday… just bought an extra gear set. apparently, the hopes were high, this game had the most potential it ever has….. i was having so much fun. what ******** is this news, genuinely. who will ever play a live service AGS game again

    @playnewworld Absolutely insane. Sure the game had issues and you lost a lot of players with those dumb server queues and the initial bugs, but shutting it down after this very good expansion...stupid.

    @playnewworld Will you release the base code and server configs so the community can run custom/private servers? It’d be the best move for players who kept buying currency when the game was empty and broken. It’s in your hands; if you can’t maintain it, the community can.

    @SavvvoGames @JeffBezos @playnewworld Games with a PvP core environment are always going to be niche, add to that an awful launch and it was always going to be an uphill struggle. Then comes along AI which will fix absolutely nothing but is CHEAP and there you go. Suits see money money money.

    @playnewworld For us aussies Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), digital games must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description/promises (e.g., ongoing live-service MMO).If a shutdown makes it unfit/unplayable contrary to what was promised, it's a potential major failure → entitling refund/replacement (overrides "no refund" policies).

    @towelthetank @playnewworld Despite issues at first, I stuck with it. And, I must say that I certainly got my money's worth, what with the 770+ hours I've invested into the game. It's my cozy game. I enjoy leveling my gathering & crafting skills. And it's a shame that it'll sunset next year.

    @StanKnight0077 @Robovader123 @playnewworld I imagine those players weren’t actually loyal to the game only to trying go engagement farming when they were talking shite about the game. The game had its issues, but for me personally it was a perfect blend of everything I enjoy about an MMO and was really laid back. I’ve never been a min/maxed or hardcore PvP player though and I noticed most people that I saw complaining were hardcore PvP driven and the type to rush through content and then complain there wasn’t any.

    @andrewshark91 @playnewworld You obviously misunderstood the meaning of live service. It's a model to service money out of you while the game's alive (usually for the first 2 weeks)

    @playnewworld can yall ffs fix ur game like for real … itd be nice to play without random crashes and disconnects to sit in a 40 min queue to play for 90 mins to repeat the process

    Hey @dev_katyk @playnewworld can you fix the afk kicking in arenas? I can’t even use shooters stance without being kicked for afk. It’s way too aggressive.

    @JeffBezos @playnewworld Then why are you shutting down such an amazing game? It has finally become what it was always meant to be. All of the issues have been fixed. The gameplay and combat are second to none. Then we get rug pulled. “Not financially feasible” is such a cop out.

    @playnewworld It seems we're never going to have the perfect Action MMO RPG. Everyone that comes into the surface fails, one by one. It's a budget problem? Do you guys only hire non-rpg-players? The community always tells what needs to be done and no one is listening, wtf
