Shultsy 👾 (@ShultsyPlays) reported@BagginsTV @playnewworld What profit? The game made zero money in 5 years? I'd pull the plug too. This was the same dev team the entire life cycle. Same leadership except homeboy left. They had 5 years of free reign from Amazon and failed. That's a development problem that led to a corporate problem.

The engine the devs were forced the use was a mess of spaghetti code (which is what caused a significant number of the bugs and issues) and they had Amazon execs stifling every creative choice they wanted to make in the name of maximising profit. Many, many things were mishandled throughout this game's life, and there is a whole lot of things that could and should've been better, but I'll die on the hill that the core dev team - the creatives, vfx artists, etc and the developers, system/mechanics/combat designers etc, were not the issue.

J (@Jesse__Kelley) reported@NWGameStatus @playnewworld Fix the ******* queue every time at 5 it’s goes past 1,000 & sit and wait for 45 min to get in to having your game crash when I fast travel & sit in queue again. Insane how you don’t realize it . Embarrassing!

I'm sure that was the plan since you've removed the game for purchase and are completely shutting the servers down, right? Only right that you do so. Do the right thing, not the profitable one.

The way this game was monetized was very fair to the consumer, but not sustainable in the eyes of money hungry amazon. Creating and maintaining a live service MMO is a money pit and new world wasn’t bring in the $$$.

And you have to leave the raid and restart the instance, and you have to kill the beginning adds again. I'm not sure if you all know, but the fix you guys did was not working at all. Needs to be fixed! @playnewworld

Either they give the community the ability to host their own servers or they give their money back, just accepting that companies can take **** off you whenever they run into financial trouble is insane.

You guys have to fix this. Why spend so much time and energy developing new DLC just to let something as basic as server capacity ruin your hard work?

Didn’t even get to try all the content yet, and then out of nowhere AGS goes, “Surprise! This is the final season!” 😑
