@PaulFletcherMP @NBN_Australia Translation "Labor was right, Tones ****** up, now Foxtel have gone to **** & Murdoch is fine with Australians getting what we should have had 5 years ago." I expect further announcements on a variety of issues in the coming days.

@albericie How about the claim of 99% of homes can be connected to the NBN. The only fibre here is rolled oats for breakfast. They can't even give you a reliable copper service, it fails all the time

The ONLY reason @PaulFletcherMP has made this announcement on the NBN today is to distract from the disgraceful Sydney Airport land rort issue. And much of the media falls for it. Please don’t let them.

  • P_bogan Sir Peter the Bogan (@P_bogan) reported

The NBN announced in 2013 that 1Gbps network was available. Turnbull and Abbott blocked that speed and now 7 years later the same Government is saying they will deliver that in 2023. How ****** up is that? @abcnews Turnbull said we only needed 12Mbps.

Your government has done nothing to help velocity estates to get off the inferior unreliable and more expensive network. When are we going to get help or other alternatives?? @PaulFletcherMP oh upgrade #nbn but you give @Telstra two more years to screw us over.

  • kevineaton_1 Kevin (@kevineaton_1) reported

@albericie We have only just been connected to NBN our node is 1.5km away, we do not meet the projected speeds currently max 14mbs and 3mbs. The tech person has recommended our estate gets a micro node to increase speeds but I won’t hold my breath. We now have a worse service than ADSL

@imbutterworth @mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews COALition's NBN started using HFC because their originally envisaged FTTN (ie to Node not to Premises) using original Telstra copper wiring was terrible & problematic. Who would have predicted using shitty old wire would be bad?
