  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

As if the #nbn will do anything, been going thru this crap since the switchover. #nbn totally unaccountable, and blame the providers. See the connection just like Gov blame everyone else.

  • gb_satishkumar Satish Kumar (@gb_satishkumar) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra @NBN_Australia I can’t wait anymore to have my NBN DROPOUT compliance fixed that is on going from October 22nd. There were multiple calls with your customer service but no progress yet. Compliance reference 1-2258 557 835 814

  • LapTop006 Julien Goodwin (@LapTop006) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NewtonMark @NBN_Australia and of course it should be *cheaper* for you to fix it proactively, if you know you're going to need to fix it anyway.

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Two hours #nbn been down and out. Just come back. Throttling areas and cutting them out. No wonder we are 69th in the world and falling. #nbnco totally unaccountable. Blame providers all the time.

  • jasonbak Jason Baker (@jasonbak) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I really can't wait until I have 5G coverage so a can shove the NBN where it belongs. Sick of dealing with ISP technical support.

  • deepchild 𝔇𝔢𝔢𝔭𝔠𝔥𝔦𝔩𝔡 / 𝔄𝔠𝔥𝔞𝔯𝔫𝔢́ 🌱 (@deepchild) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@frogworth Life hack - spend your day in any icy cold Sydney bus on constant loop, tethering 4G on your laptop because the NBN sucks anyway. Cheaper than a co working space.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@deniseshrivell Agreed.....but let's wait for the screams when MSM & taxpayers find out the cost on them to fix.........LNP stuffed up our NBN 👎🏿👎🏽👎🏼🤡🤖💩

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    @Idealaw @NickRossTech @kcarruthers @TurnbullMalcolm @NBN_Australia @matt_barrie @Aussie_BB Reminds me, I need to cancel my Telstra Bigpond account now I am on @Aussie_BB NBN...

  • Jess_ms Jess (@Jess_ms) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus cutting off all internet with zero notification of NBN cutover date and 1 hour later chat people zero help. Only work from home and studying for masters online. Ombudsman tomorrow, yet again.

  • camozspurs Cameron Whyte (@camozspurs) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Kezzacarpenter @Optus Yes but it’s working ok now they have there own NBN support team and you get a case manager so not as bad as I thought

  • 72pac Paul C (@72pac) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@WayneConnor The NBN skimped on fixed wireless. The constraint is at the radio layer, either microwave link to the tower or the antenna to your house. Changing isp will not help. But I’m sure a smart hacker like you could rig your own radio/laser/WiFi point to point link to somewhere in town.

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Well done #nbn another ten minute unknown dropout. It's no wonder when you have millions of GB coming down fibre, and then trying to feed it into drinking straws. Gov sabotage of essential infrastructure.

  • thepatrick Patrick Quinn-Graham 🏳️‍🌈 (@thepatrick) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Oh goody, half an hour in to an NBN outage. Technology hates me lately.

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Originaltibbedy @marckean @NickRossTech @TurnbullMalcolm @NBN_Australia @matt_barrie @Aussie_BB It is my understanding that backward compatibility is limited to a version or two. One of the big delays in Telstra going to DOCSIS3 was apparently because they had old kit (theirs and customers) still on the network.

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

**** the #nbn been crap all afternoon on again off again. Losing stuff I upload to God knows where. WTF 65th in the world and falling. And if #nbn tell me to contact my provider I will scream. ITS NOT MY PROVIDERS FAULT.

  • oceanswims oceanswims (@oceanswims) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hey @Telstra, how does this work... I cancel a broadband cable that I’ve had with you for years to avoid being forced onto NBN, and instead I commit to you for 3 years with home hub. And you want to charge me cancellation fees. Please explain the sense in that.

  • AUSFestivus Purveyor of the best dog content (@AUSFestivus) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@daunce_ @NewtonMark @NBN_Australia Get your uptime robot to @ the NBN Co account every time it goes down.

  • fictillius Quiet, Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NewtonMark @NBN_Australia Heh. Big T are proposing to use NBN FTTB to deliver an enterprise service to our office in the CBD. I think I’ll decline and use a provider that brings their own pipe in.

  • NudgerSS 'Nudger' Needham (@NudgerSS) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Australian broadband has to be amongst the worst in the world. Constantly keeps dropping out. NBN sort yourselves out.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@lynlinking Blame LNP Government for this, they have stuffed up the NBN & won't be told, won't discuss, won't write down the $51+bn & therefore taxpayers pay twice, once for build & second for overpriced connection deals through RSP's.......LNP were warned......watch how much this costs us

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • jendudley Jen Dudley-Nicholson (@jendudley) reported

The halt on new NBN connections over HFC is largely due to circumstances beyond NBN's control -- a global hardware shortage -- but this situation could and *should* have been managed a lot better. Currently, people caught out are being given few options and little help.

  • BroHilderchump Phteven with a pee haitch (@BroHilderchump) reported

@telstra NBN outage? Just Dubbo or national?

  • Seantheprawntw sean-the-prawn (@Seantheprawntw) reported

@jendudley @POTRM @dailytelegraph We live in bushfire prone area. Whole street evacuated 2012 raging fire in our area. Mobile signal appalling have to walk outside onto the road for signal. Power outage means no nbn plus no landline. Dangerous situation when no emergency warnings can reach us. Central Coast #nbn

  • gotroppo69 TroppoInNQ (@gotroppo69) reported

@sharitags @RollingStone I still believe that had we had something trusted like the BBC's Click, we'd have been better informed about the need for the NBN and would've universally embraced it. Instead we got rubbish reporting and that allowed it to be watered down.

  • jendudley Jen Dudley-Nicholson (@jendudley) reported

@GordyPls I do. It's in the story. And NBN has known about shortages since December. People who move homes or try to connect now are being given no options because often legacy connections have been shut down and there's no mobile packages designed for them.

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@lepparda Oh, that would annoy me too, Adrian! Have you reported this to our provider? The only way nbn can identify an address/ area that requires fault rectification, maintenance, or upgrade is when it's logged by providers to their nbn support teams. 1/2

  • lepparda Adrian Leppard (@lepparda) reported

@Telstra Anyone know why the nbn is down again!!

  • LennaLeprena Lenna Leprena (@LennaLeprena) reported

@scandrof Yes, strange hey...my battery for the phone on my NBN, which I never used anyway, only lasted about 18 months before it failed and I had to by-pass it altogether.

  • abhayks Abhay (@abhayks) reported

@NBN_Australia Hi Jacky, I’m again disconnected since an hour. Thanks to NBN I’m forced to use my phone to tether and connect to office. Seems 4G is not bad. I can actually get a 4G plan and get rid of NBN altogether. Thanks again.

  • Josephcoinstag Josephco.instagram (@Josephcoinstag) reported

@iinet so 7 days (and many hours on phone) without internet after transferring from adsl to nbn..All because of misinformation from iiNet about a modem that I specifically asked about before I requested the transfer. 2 questions: how you going fix this? Why are you charging me?
