@smh @LisaVisentin The NBN is fundamentally flawed. @AlboMP Land lines, which used to have an independent Telstra power supply with backup generators, are now connected to the NBN and don't work anymore when there is a power cut or when the NBN is down. All black NBN boxes also consume more power

@bobillingworth @AlboMP The MTM NBN is a nightmare piece of ****. It is routinely the piece of infrastructure that is the absolute worst to deal with as a support engineer. The only part of it that is nice to deal with is the FttP part. *most* of the issues we deal with are back-end/line failures.

@bruce_haigh Unless Lab keep it simple and appeal to the commoners....they are cooked again. Fed ICAC, Fix NBN, Local real jobs, stop persecuting the weak etc.

@ben @DawsonEJ @LaTrioli Yep the higher frequencies used for 5G means it has trouble penetrating walls or even obstacles like trees. For it to be used as a substitute for something like the NBN means we'd need towers on every block.

@AlboMP NBN connection went down in Derby WA for 5 customers 3 weeks ago. They called my brother at 6am yesterday to cancel their technician. So much for customer service. He still has pay his bills for no service.
