Good morning. We’re sorry you can’t access unlimited data on the NBN, and that our mobile network in your area is so crappy that it drains your battery faster than an alcoholic at closing time, but we’re gonna charge you an extra $10 for a measly gigabyte of data. Love, Optus.

  • rosskerker Ross Kerker (@rosskerker) reported

@NBN_Australia The reason the internet is known as the “web” is because it’s supposed to be an interlinked network resulting in built in resilience and redundancy. A single node should not take down 60k premises

@TPG_Telecom @NBN_Australia Please note the use of the word '******' is in its purely technical meaning, as any good tech knows. I'll try & not swear again today. Yes, we've tried turning it off & back on. It's not a PEBKAC error, nor an ID10t problem.🤓

The whole of NORTHERN RIVERS NSW is paralysed…..not only by floods but also by the total lack of internet. No banking, money transfers etc. etc. Thanks to bad planning by NBN!

  • rowly_emmett Rowly Emmett (@rowly_emmett) reported

@NBN_Australia Is there no way for traffic to be rerouted via Gold Coast? There are thousands without service in Currumbin, Tweed, and of course rest of Northern Rivers. No redundancy at all?

  • TangaroaG33K Brad Beadel (@TangaroaG33K) reported

@NBN_Australia @NBN_Australia Any chance you could get photos of the device that has impacted the network. Would be interesting to see how wet it became. The outages really suck especially in the supermarket.

@ByMarcMcGowan I forgot it was even on until i got home from the longest 2 days, battling flood aftermath cleanup with IT tech, all our fixed NBN internet services are down until further notice, mobile broadband is useless up here all congested, no to little services and now short food supply.

  • doomguy1215 doomguy (@doomguy1215) reported

@NBN_Australia its been like 2 days and your page has given zero updates about the fix any chance you can give ANY info at the moment

  • jaspersharpe_ Jasper Sharpe (@jaspersharpe_) reported

@elonmusk When is starlink coming to Australian central cities? @elonmusk The Australian NBN is garbage so I am very excited for @SpaceX to get starlink ready.

  • JoshDuroux Josh Duroux (@JoshDuroux) reported

Still no change, although don't expect much overnight. No NBN, but still have Optus mobile. I can't get onto Facebook to check out the community groups, so until we head into the village, I don't know what's happening. IF we can. The road was looking pretty bad.
