  • tony4newcastle Tony Brown (@tony4newcastle) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

My Telstra nbn broadband network has been down all day from an alleged cyber attack

  • NigelBill Nigel Mullen (@NigelBill) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia It is not a fault. It is a NBN design issue. If a house is 1.2km in cable length from a Node, can they expect 80mb or more in connection speed. Very simple yes/no answer is all that is required.

  • fat_lenny Lenny (@fat_lenny) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@DuhigLisa @NBN_Australia @Telstra I actually love having the business run from hone. Been doing it for years and have a dedicated office. Constant issues with the NBN though really hurt and you are powerless to do anything. Into day 2 of no work, about to head to Telstra.

  • gregorymckenna Greg McKenna (@gregorymckenna) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@hef_mark I’ve been running off my phone with no problems while kids doing online classes on NBN - no issues at all 👍

  • pretzelssign hall 🇹🇼 (@pretzelssign) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia that’d be great if every day from 2pm-11pm the wifi wasn’t so unbearably slow that I can’t even load a webpage. I went to South Korea and it really gave a perspective as to how horrifyingly slow NBN is

  • phonakins 💜 phonakins 💄 Happy Liptember! 💋 (@phonakins) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia @duolingo Keeps dropping out. I'm on my phone atm to reply to this. Been doing it the last couple of days. No good for browsing or doing Duolingo let alone streaming (either up or down)

  • RoyanWg Billy back in the black n broke HALLELUJAH (@RoyanWg) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse Nothing about the shit NBN that the LNP/IPA Government has foisted upon the public instead of the world leading broadband it was supposed to be we are left with the inadequate bastardized system that Malcolm Turnbull/Abbott gave us

  • wifidownunder Aaron Scott (@wifidownunder) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

Another 12hr outage from @telstra NBN. This is ridiculous. Maybe at some point I’ll have internet again.

  • njubi_eric Njubi Ng’ang’a 🇰🇪 (@njubi_eric) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

I moved into #Telstra 7 days ago and I promise you their nbn is the worst. Speeds of 7 mbps is just unheard of. Piece of advice to anyone planning to join Telstra DON’T

  • gjblue Greg Blue (@gjblue) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@JaneCaro @Telstra The whole nbn is a joke, mate who works for them told me ours will never be any good because the copper goes thru a flooded pit at the end of our street.

  • novahollandia Justin Holland (@novahollandia) reported from Maitland, State of New South Wales

@Telstra hi, my wife's NBN has been down for 2 days. She's rung several times only for her call to ring out. Pretty hard to run a business with no NBN.

  • ian_booth Ian Booth (@ian_booth) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

Farrrrrrkk! When Fifield is questioned about the price of #NBN packages the best he can come up with is "they would cost more under Labor". It just rolls off their tongue so easily. "Take longer under Labor ", "cost more under Labor" and they're never questioned. Shits me.

  • josundq josund (@josundq) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@factanonverba69 but the second biggest failure was Malcolm’s fibre to the node NBN network

  • DrCraigGedye Craig Gedye (@DrCraigGedye) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Internode once again our @NBN_Australia connection is out because it has rained. Please fix the physical connection to our house. It is NOT a problem in our house. It is a problem with your ancient corroded copper network. Please repair immediately.

  • NigelBill Nigel Mullen (@NigelBill) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@exetel @chuggins9000 @NBN_Australia Thanks Rehan, but it is not an Exetel problem, all my neighbours have the same problem. NBN Co decided not to deluver high speed internet infrastucture to our Adamstown Heights area.

  • jack_webbbb Jack Webber (@jack_webbbb) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia how long does it take for an outage to be fixed it’s already been ages and It’s my day off aswell

  • novahollandia Justin Holland (@novahollandia) reported from Maitland, State of New South Wales

@Telstra spoke to a technician. Apparently a problem with the line. #NBN involved ( God help us). Appointment now booked for (Drum roll....) 14th April Seriously? I suppose the NBN technical support can't be faster than the #NBN.

  • lazytraveldays Lazy Travel Days ✈️ ⛴ 🚘 (@lazytraveldays) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@adamajacoby NBN intentionality shit to benefit Murdoch

  • adlrope Adam Rope (reality is stranger than fiction) (@adlrope) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Qldaah @Telstra David, if have nbn connection then Telstra only service provider. nbn co own & maintain network. Telstra technical support can investigate but if underlying issue is network, nbn co responsible. If nbn co state 'no fault found', then service provider no power coerce nbn action

  • toijon1 toi jon (@toijon1) reported

@abcnews the NBN is getting some help......??

  • cjbroadhead Christine Broadhead (@cjbroadhead) reported

@nathan_warner @NBN_Australia I'm half a continent away and mine's been dropping in and out for ~24hrs. Good when working but drops out frequently and modem takes forever to reacquire signal.

  • Tr3vor321 Trevor (@Tr3vor321) reported

@realDrBrendan Loves me an Optus i do. Previous unused cable was torn down by gas worker truck. Reported, removed. When i wanted optus a year later, nope can't have it there it's too low. Haven't used it since nbn bought it and the poofter is still blocking my driveway airspace from large truck

  • bren_maree BrenMaree (@bren_maree) reported

@NBN_Australia More interested in how weather and congestion impact our fixed wireless service, when fixed wireless is being replaced, or do I have to shift to starlink. I run a business, can't even have integrated EFTPOS. 🙁 Let me guess? Talk to my provider? They can't change infrastructure.

  • bigminion413 B1G_MINIÖN (@bigminion413) reported

@NBN_Australia Like I said, multiple techs have visited the property… they don’t have any issues with our setup as I’ve asked them directly The area needs better service

  • RyanWil62993886 Raymond McKeown (@RyanWil62993886) reported

We already have a national energy network! What happens to that and the 10,000's it employs? So there will not be a job gain! There will be a massive debt & cost gain however of $onetrillion to build this new network now remember this, the last time labor started to build NBN?

  • arn3b Arne Hansen (@arn3b) reported

@NBN_Australia We have Optus 4G because NBN (under Turnbull) decided our town wasn't worth anything more than fixed wireless. So why reward bad behaviour? I'd prefer to give my $ to Optus or Telstra... which says volumes! "Don't build and they won't come"

  • WayneLe51635030 Wayne Lee (@WayneLe51635030) reported

@Peter_Fitz My son's first vote was for K Rudd, largely because he promised the NBN. Guess what the Libs did? Stuffed it up and he's never forgiven them. Just one example that the Libs don't look to the future.

  • 123aNegativa Peter_Andrews (@123aNegativa) reported

@ausstockchick Also, what is the solution for people who park on the street, or in the garage of their building? Do we install charging bollards at car length intervals on all streets everywhere there's high density housing? Considering the NBN cost what it did, what's the cost?
