@PaulWilko For the most part it's not a problem. We mostly watch Netflix and abc/SBS so streaming is all covered, and yeah NBN makes it sooooo much better.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@abc730 Yep & take anything up to 47 days, to connect to existing connection....and you have no option & not even an agreement with NBN, you have to deal with a provider......so the blame game continues. Cost to fix, billions & billions......thanks Abbott and MT with help from Murdoch 💩

  • GregandGuitars Greg Bisset (@GregandGuitars) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@ChaseyDevil @lily_lawrence_ @LeaNights I was told buy the guys working out the front of my place in those pits that it would be s few months away before NBN is up and running, I use wi fi at the moment and no problems rain hail or shine😎😎

  • panondo 💧 Patrick Dockhorn (@panondo) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

My @NBN experience with @Aussie_BB- once it was finally installed - has so far been pretty good. I had Wifi issues and ended up buying the Google Mesh Wifi starter kit (3 pucks) - a significant improvement on the old setup (Wifi provided by the Netcomm router +Extender).

  • m2plater Merrick Plater (@m2plater) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Mr Murdoch new that’s why he with the help of the LNP destroyed the NBN so it would not compete with his Foxtel.

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I bet they're counting my place (and I suspect lots like it) - declared ready for service, but no RSP will actually sign me up yet because they know that there will be delays and problems caused by nbn because despite the declaration, it is not ready for service. At all. #nbn

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@geoffrey_payne @HollinsMrhump Correct but Abbott and MT with help from Murdoch destroyed our NBN.....now it's a total stuff up thanks to LNP

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@weemac47 NFW, lobby your member.LNP Government totally stuffed the NBN, will cost $bn's to fix, can't even provide basic working service pay 100 get 23,are they ******* serious,NBN not worth $51bn & need to cut providers access rates, best thing LNP Government could do sell it to Telstra

  • andrewrparry Andrew (@andrewrparry) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Ross_Greenwood it will never happen but we need a royal commission into the #NBN

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@geoffrey_payne @HollinsMrhump Watch the love disappear when the Australian people have to pay the billions $$$$💸💸💸💸when it has to be upgraded, or the NBN tax of some $8 per month or the NBN streaming tax, to support a totally ****** up system thanks to LNP Government

  • meggsie79 MEGAN SAMUEL (@meggsie79) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@ernestjpnsw @NBN_Australia @TPG_Telecom Had the same issue with TPG. Switched to Vodafone NBN and much better quality of service

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@fuzzi_mcapples @YaThinkN First thing I did when I got NBN trial connection was get 2nd hand smart TV with streaming apps for Netflix US, Quikflix, iview, etc. Our digital TV service came much later than our FTTP #NBN.

  • jasta07 James Carlton (@jasta07) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@I_Am_Simplex @NBN_Australia Have the same problem. Short answer is, they're trying to shovel ten tons of shit into a one ton bag and the shovel has been sitting out in the rain since 1975.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@au_bizcoach NBN can't even provide a working service now....pay for 100 was getting 43, moved 350m took 15days to reconnect now get 23 still paying for 100....whilst they work on it.....NBN totally stuffed up by LNP Government in particular Abbott/MT/Murdoch. Sell it to telstra & FO LNP Govt

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@JaneCaro @Telstra Definitely not me.....they have totally stuffed up our NBN.....Abbott/MT/IPA & Murdoch......wait until you see the cost to taxpayers to " fix it"

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@jacket1962 Totally agree with you just another take back by LNP Government. It was Abbott, MT & Murdoch who stuffed up our NBN, now they want extra tax to fix their mess...NFW

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@GetUp And fix the bloody NBN

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@1n9r1d @davidlamond ......and weep. But now not happy with stuffing up our NBN, the LNP wont sell it, or reduce costs to providers, so we have crap speeds, high cost, & more LNP Government tinkering.....WATFJ👎🏽👎🏿👎🏻💩💩💩

  • au_bizcoach 💧 🌱 Brett Flower (@au_bizcoach) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Kynes3 @abcnews Who is to blame is irrelevant. The process of qualifying the workers is. Neither NBN or Telstra have employees at the coalface. They are all contractors or contractors of contractors. There is little training, no support, no direction or career path offered for contractors.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@SkyNewsAust @Telstra @andy_penn @BizTicky @NBN_Australia It's overpriced & worthless now.....totally stuffed up by LNP Government & Murdoch, providers fees too high, write it down & "fix" it

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • dspdavey Dr Deborah Davey (@dspdavey) reported

@Telstra Yes. And then multiple messages to say the planned NBN outage won't be happening. It's only a recent thing, it used to be fine, I got one message and that was it. But I received multiple messages for the last planned outage.

  • NBN_Australia nbn® Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@mat5mann Hi there, our intention isn't to pass the blame. Your service provider acts on your behalf to ensure your nbn services are connected to the network and are functioning and serviceable. They'll also liaise with the nbn wholesale support team where necessary. With any nbn 1/2

  • dwightwalker Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported

can't cancel @NBN_Australia visit on day via @exetel so they will find internet is up and no need to come

  • CA_22562_AN T:HE:JAMES. HMRH (@CA_22562_AN) reported

@NBN_Australia Aussie Broadband think they can't answer for legal reasons, I guess network management doesn't reveal to them how many customers have one from their management interface. Can you possibly tell me if they seem to work okay with Aussie Broadband?

  • dwightwalker Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported

I should just switch to 4G - my data bank is so huge in gigabytes - ridiculous - never use it unless I only use mobile and not NBN any more

  • bollgare Matt (@bollgare) reported

@Gr0di @ElaineM11584892 Basics to live should be free. I think internet/phone but government is bloody terrible at new technology. Try installing software on TAFE computers for training, A year and a half later. NBN is basically obsolete already with 5g.

  • seccers El Seccerino (@seccers) reported

@Penfanackapan @Sikamikanico Uhhhh yeah I worked for an ISP 7 years ago and the copper network was an unreliable hunk of garbage that was literally rotting out of the ground. If you need a reliable phone line due to medical issues NBN can provide it. Or use a mobile phone.

  • deathjab4 No Jab No Job (@deathjab4) reported

TPG NBN I received a text message on Friday from TPG stating my plan will rise next month. I am not sure how you can be charged extra for a ****** copper wire to the node service. When I am financial again I will get Starlink many people in my area have it, with good reports.

  • The_Gardener14 Gardener14 (@The_Gardener14) reported

@Crui5erFJ @WhistleOut_AU I have HFC coaxial cable. Have had from 2017. My slowest speed would be 568Mbps Down with 47 to 60 Mbps up. Latency of 0.7 Ping 5.6. I had HFC in 2001 with Telstra/Foxtel then I got 155Mbps / 35Mbps still faster than NBN in 2001 compared to 2022?

  • lukeweston Luke Weston (@lukeweston) reported

@strangedevices1 NBN FTTN with existing copper phone lines from the node, no HFC. It’s incredible in 2022 we’re still running it on the same crap 50-year-old copper phone pair in many residences.
