  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Still no #NBN Been down all morning. Just using my limited capacity on my phone. What a crock of shit this network is. And you want people to work from home,......

  • yutrops Pavan Kundur (@yutrops) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@SkillUpYT This lockdown would be more enjoyable if the nbn wasn’t horrible

  • trevorlong Trevor Long (@trevorlong) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@brett_gibson @seamus @charlietech @wendy_harmer @robbie_buck @abcsydney Spot on, most people get the shits when they go from cable at 112Mbps to NBN at 94Mbps real world, THEY WOULD NEVER EVER NOTICE!

  • lesleyhitchens Lesley Hitchens (@lesleyhitchens) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

In this time of confusion & crisis, there is one constant, emails from @Telstra : “nbn™ service interruption during network updates”. How reassuring. 😒

  • fictillius 🦠 Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

A colleague is having WFH issues. Got a speed test done. It’s ASDL 14/0.8. Got them to call their ISP (iiNet) to upgrade to HFC NBN which is ready for service. iiNet told them it would not increase their internet speeds 🤦🏻

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Yay the internet returns after a 13hour outage. I bet it was switched off at the exchange to re route capacity. #NBN.

  • m2plater Merrick Plater (@m2plater) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Terrible shame that LNP took over our NBN and destroyed it.

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Vic_Rollison Except that @HonTonyAbbott, @TurnbullMalcolm & @ScottMorrisonMP have totally stuffed the NBN. I’ve got to 4G Broadband for an affordable and superior service. These pricks have set the country back decades just because they hate Labor & are infected with born-to-rule delusion.

  • melgianoutsos melgianoutsos (@melgianoutsos) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@ScottMorrisonMP @GladysB @leighsales @vanOnselenP @hamishNews @drkerrynphelps So NZ can lock down community and close schools but then they have LEADERSHIP and high speed NBN. 🤬 #FlattenTheCurve NOT #COVIDー19

  • trevorlong Trevor Long (@trevorlong) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@seamus @brett_gibson @charlietech @wendy_harmer @robbie_buck @abcsydney The primary reason Nbn needed to add cvc capacity is because Australians - and click baiting journos at some publications - would simply say “nbn is stuffed” when they have issues, when in fact it’s the telcos that fail to provision bandwidth... anyway... good times

  • ShutUp_AJ Binge Thinker, the BCB (@ShutUp_AJ) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    - Make the nbn free to all - Pressure mobile phone providers to not charge - legislate ban on evictions til this is over - leave for casuals - power and water bills to be capped - Stimulus payouts to all by taxable income ala 2008 Get ******** into it

  • steveathon Steve King (@steveathon) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@warkolm @kvgoldsmith @NBN_Australia Honestly I use my nbn satellite service as a backup - not as my primary. I get better (still painfully slow) speed on my 3G antenna setup. I am one of the lucky ones.

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Spruiking by #NBN Of capacity. It is hopeless under pressure. As for uploading too slow. Gov fault at this.

  • trevorlong Trevor Long (@trevorlong) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@seamus @brett_gibson @charlietech @wendy_harmer @robbie_buck @abcsydney There are two reasons people have legitimate NBN complaints. 1/ They scored FTTN and got the furthest drop from the Node. 2/ they have shit wifi. And number 2 is far more prevalent

  • HappySinger Dave The Happy Singer (@HappySinger) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@TurnbullMalcolm @theanthonyhayes @rhysam Even at the best of times, my NBN is not much better than ADSL was, because it's still delivered over the same broken copper. Sure the peak speeds are higher, but it's still flaky. Not reliable for videoconferencing.

  • urban_reverie Urban Reverie (@urban_reverie) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I’m in self-isolation, my HFC NBN is down *yet again*, and wait times for iiNet technical support are over an hour. Everything is awesome.

  • MsDovic Dianne Draganovic (@MsDovic) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@fi_shep @TurnbullMalcolm Although the NBN is shit. So he’s not off the hook, but i know deep down he’d care.

  • berniecoen Bernie Coen (@berniecoen) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@bengrubb Ben I ditched NBN to hot-spot fron my phone and boom! Not a problem steaming Netflix etc. I and to avoid massive download I lowered the settings mode. Unless u have a 4K and it's in 4k u don't need the highest streaming. Pic looked exactly the same

  • DavJenks David Jenkins (@DavJenks) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet The interaction with iinet staff was fine, no complaints at all. NBN technician comes out Monday morning. That will play havoc with online schooling and me working from home. Hopefully this recurring problem will be fixed on nbn tech visit #3.

  • Laura_the_chef Swen_fanfictwriter (@Laura_the_chef) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

It was an NBN problem, which means I can't fix it. I told her that but that wasn't a good enough excuse. Do now I am a fat lazy spoilt child all because i didn't drop everything to sort out all her problems. She then told my dad that and threatened to stop helping me financially

  • hyp3rstrike ~⛧ /usr/hyp3rstrike (@hyp3rstrike) reported

@craznar @NickRossTech @NBN_Australia Not defending them, but from working for a rISP: The definition depends on the size of the impact. It would depend if the issue affects a single user, or affects multiple users. The latter being the definition of an outage, the former being the definition of a fault.

  • WayWoodWines Andrew Wood (@WayWoodWines) reported

@Telstra My bizessentials ADSL2 was swapped to a NBN service in August... been paying usual bill every month but just received a bill for internet for past 5 months...

  • _IV21_ IV21 (@_IV21_) reported

@thegrimcookies Holy smokes how did you get that speed! We pay for the fastest NBN and get 30 down max 😮

  • Soulsilvatdope SoulSilver (@Soulsilvatdope) reported

@Optus Landline phone over nbn, and different ISP for internet. Told staff we already had ISP connected, do not attach Optus service to UNI-D port 1, staff member then proceeded to connect service to UNI-D port 1 against our instructions

  • RyanVox RY▲N VOX (@RyanVox) reported

NBN outage. How ******** am I supposed to watch Netflix now? What did we used to do before streaming?

  • craznar Christopher Burke 🇦🇺 (@craznar) reported

@hyp3rstrike @NickRossTech @NBN_Australia This is not a tech issue, the techs have completely replaces every last bit of tech from my NTD to the road.

  • pontifax55 stephen casey (@pontifax55) reported

@prwsydney @HonTonyAbbott @TurnbullMalcolm Of course, but he committed to a full fibre network. It was Abbott & Turnbull that gave us the expensive dogs breakfast that is the MTM NBN.

  • Loeysmob Kylie - time to move home :( (@Loeysmob) reported

I am over this ****. I can't even reschedule tomorrows appt that you made without consulting us. What a f-ing joke NBN is.. Supposed to be decent internet & we can't even get internet...& you won't take responsibility for your f-up either. @NBN_Australia @iiNet #NotGoodEnough

  • hyp3rstrike ~⛧ /usr/hyp3rstrike (@hyp3rstrike) reported

@craznar @NickRossTech @NBN_Australia If it's a single user fault, then it's not an outage. As mentioned before, an outage is defined as something that affects a significant number of end users - usually a mass service disruption/mass network disruption. If it's a single premises affected, that's a fault.
