Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Tahmoor, New South Wales@DifficultNerd @stnapAtnaf Sadly not the case. NBN have confirmed with me that we will never get 50 Mbps due to the distance we are away from the first node. They also didn’t replace the aging copper on the main street and line faults is a regular thing to happen.

Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Tahmoor, New South Wales@stnapAtnaf @DifficultNerd It’s actually hilarious to see media reports of the NBN struggling. Remote learning/video/working, video streaming, etc, etc is exactly why a proper next-gen network should have been built.

Seán Anmchadh (@SeanAmbrose44) reported from Woronora Dam, New South Wales@BreakfastNews I have persistent calls alleging they are from the NBN and now Telstra advising me that there are problems with my internet. I ask them for their employee number and tell them I’ll call back.
-
Jason King (@Klyde77) reported from Picton, New South WalesWhat disgraceful service @Telstra. Been in new house for more than 2 weeks. Only 4 days of NBN working. Told they would be here on Saturday between 8am and 12pm. Waited all day and then called Telstra to be told NBN will be back on Wednesday. Disgraceful.

💧Doug Ingram (@douggyi) reported from Woronora Dam, New South Wales@sarahvmac Bugger. I still maintain that NBN stands for the Notional Broadband Network. It was a good idea at one stage.

Harold ☢️🔥🏭⚛️ (@Harold36089778) reported@MarkoMatvikov Even worse: Labor writes new laws to force super to invest in “building back Aus” like Melb-Syd high speed rail or upgrading NBN. When competition policy allowing global carriers to compete on the Melb-Sydney flight would drive costs down & Starlink is outcompeting NBN today.
-
koi (@itkoi) reportedvodafone better send someone out to fix my nbn box i swear to ****

💜𝕏 CharmsVic 𝕏 💜 (@CharmsYahoo) reported@scottjla @johannesmkx Uk hasn’t got as many isolated farms etc as Australia or US but I understand from friends there is similar higher speed internet access as Australia suffered with slow install of NBN and minimal systems Back in 2021/2 when Starlink was not providing many services in UK - govt removing authorisation would not have caused major outcry but the number of services today would cause huge outcry if authorisation were removed. Also mobile Starlink is very common now. The acceptance of authorisation is part of SPCX now and impact investors - technically I suspect uk govt can’t do anything other than order removal and whether the company has offices in uk will be relevant to service provision and funding for infringements Elon is VERY protective of children’s rights so expect him to express views on how this needs implementing. His stance against Starmer goes back to when he ed public prosecutor and didn’t protect children and girls against gangs.

Jonathan Wilson (@jfwfreo) reported@GamewithDave The only network connected devices I own are my Windows desktop PC, my HMD Pulse+ Android phone, my ISP-provided TP-Link router and my ISP-provided NBN FTTC NCD modem. I refuse to buy any of the "smart" crap.

The Last Dragon (@TLDragon23) reported@DarrylKerrigan3 @thecoastguy Yeah, it's a losers game in Technology esp. for the Government because it is too slow and too far behind the curve They'll spend all this taxpayer money implementing something that will take too long and cost too much, then something else will be created that will blow it out of the water NBN < Starlink anyone?
-
James Boman ⩟ (@JBoman32768) reported@techAU @BassonBrain @Starlink Its a real testament to how slow and overpriced limited in availability the NBN is.
-
Ian Clarke (@ianclarkeAU) reported@GusLefty @AJG71 @karlstefanovic Not really sure what your point is. Mine is that the NBN is worthless. Flawed from the start. 5G / Starlink better for consumers. You now seem to agree. Glad to help.
-
Rob White (@RobWhiteEsp) reported@RennickGBR @RobbieBarwick How much Starlink get because the NBN sucks *****?
