@jendudley unrelated to your NBN promo, but I discovered my parents on the old Optus cable network get 100mbs if they keep using their old cable modem, or it goes down to 50mb if they use their NBN modem. But the NBN modem doubles the up speed!

@virgiliofavero Let's take a look, Virgilio. For more info on the outage, give our NBN Team a call on 1300 801 122.

  • naomi_t_81 Naomi Elle (@naomi_t_81) reported

@Telstra Turns out the number is bundled with a Telstra NBN plan and this is the reason why the number is reporting as inactive and cant be ported. While the issue isnt completely fixed at least I can try something else to get this process moving.

  • PeterLinde75 Peter Linde (@PeterLinde75) reported

@Jynx100k Definitely bad, upload is all over the place, goes from 42 to less than 1 then back again within a few minutes. Have reported @Aussie_BB, done a heap of testing, waiting on @NBN_Australia to agree there is a problem, so we can get it fixed.

@OwStans No my government ******* me with **** nbn

  • andyjeier Andy (@andyjeier) reported

@NBN_Australia I have checked, it’s not my provider.. it’s an unplanned NBN issue that is affecting Ferntree gully.

  • michael_s99 Michael Sargent (@michael_s99) reported

@Telstra Perhaps @Telstra should be investing in customer service. Being constantly directed to use the Chat is disappointing. I tried to upgrade my NBN last Saturday and 6 hours later was no closer. It takes 20 mins to get a reply!! After the six hours a new person came on to start over!

@sofieformica When you first hook up to the NBN there are always teething troubles. Our hook up here in Hervey Bay was quite un trouble free although our phone line played up a bit. Daughter in Bribie Island had to change their Telstra Modem twice before they got proper connection.

  • AndreMayAU AndreMay (@AndreMayAU) reported

@Telstra Hey Telstra, any chance of any ETA for an outage in postcode 3156? NBN connection. Been out for most of the day. Thanks.

  • gusworldau Angus Kidman (@gusworldau) reported

@jendudley they might be doing the "temporary upgrade" thing via NBN incentives, been quite common in recent months. Alternative: never trust Speedtest. Both may be true.
