Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Campbelltown and nearby locations:

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Toddy2102 @Optus @NBN_Australia Thats Correct. I rang Optus while the tech was still here and said - do not switch anything over until we discuss the issue of the NBN modem and router being DOWNSTAIRS now when my cable connection comes straight into my office which is UPSTAIRS.

  • MartinAnne139 Annie Martin AM (@MartinAnne139) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Floatdownriver My elderly neighbor had a dreadful experience with being forced into having the NBN to keep her landline. Pretty useless when there is an outage and she has no access for 2 weeks. As a matter of safety she now has a mobile.

  • radicalseven2 Rebecca Davies AO (@radicalseven2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Good discussion on @ABCthedrum @MingYLong about @NBN_Australia . Initial installation at my place in December 18, but signal no good, so they come back week after next. Not confident and costing more....

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Every time I check, it blames the NBN. They are in active build in my area at present (lots of trucks with spools of green cable on them), so I do believe it - it is just incredibly frustrating to have the service so unreliable. It has effectively stopped me working from home.

  • buszwack jg (@buszwack) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@TurnbullMalcolm @JulieBishopMP can’t read your message my nbn is sooo slow

  • Singh02017 Anil Singh (@Singh02017) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Have received 2 calls today on my landline. An automated message saying, call is from National Broadband Network & to press 1 to talk to a technician or Internet will be disconnected! The number to call (03)7689-4456. Assume it is a scam! @NBN_Australia @charlietech @nswpolice

  • JennaPrice Jenna Price (@JennaPrice) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I have just shouted at a scammer on the phone. It was a variation of the "I am Nicole from NBN". This time the person was pretending to be Telstra. That was my fourth call today from them. Please send help @Scamwatch_gov - I am losing my mind.

  • seanmag Sean (@seanmag) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@n2coza @iiNet Please help. After 13 loyal years I am having the worst customer experience ever. Beyond belief. Despite 22 calls this week, hours on the phone (2hr wait) and failed call backs still no NBN. Been going since December. Help! Invoice 107697267

  • Strehlowwendy Wendy Strehlow (@Strehlowwendy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia No Bianca I am with Telstra but I do feel like I’m being bullied into switching to NBN as none of the NBN customers in our street our affected. Really poor form NBN

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@margokingston1 @tagwacheOz Part of the way to fix it & move forward, hope it's $20bn writedown, we are sure going to need it, to fix LNP's destruction of the NBN

  • DigitalMediaBoy Carrington Brigham (@DigitalMediaBoy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Don’t go with @Optus for NBN it takes them 30+ days just to relocate you in the same building. Isn’t that awesome service. Think it’s a case of them being too big too care about their consumers these days.

  • SensibleUnderp1 Sensible Underpants (@SensibleUnderp1) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

It's on track to deliver NBN over copper. A totally substandard solution that will have enormous implications for the digital economy. Another LNP ***********.

  • LJPatton The Lucky General (@LJPatton) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@PeterCastieau @mrjoeaston @chriskkenny @MrKRudd @TurnbullMalcolm Yet, the #NBN remains the most important piece of national infrastructure, which is why we need a bipartisan plan to fix the bloody thing ASAP. #BetterBroadband

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Our @Telstra cable Internet has been down for two days straight now, after repeated short outages over the preceding days. The outage page says it's @NBN_Australia's fault (even though I am not on the NBN), no ETA on resolution given.

  • Strehlowwendy Wendy Strehlow (@Strehlowwendy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Still an outage in Bondi . Apparently now it is an NBN problem . Not maintenance. Telstra make up your mind and please communicate with your call centre in the Phillipines. It is not fair to them . A more accurate outcome timevwould be helpful too....

@Optus @australia2 Good luck mate. Seriously the worst customer service company in Australia esp issues around nbn

  • GeorgeNewhouse Prof George Newhouse (@GeorgeNewhouse) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@michellegrattan I have had two appointments where @NBN_Australia never turned up. They are hopeless and rude. They Never call to reschedule and they never apologise.

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Toddy2102 @Optus @NBN_Australia I get well over 90 down speed at the moment and I need it for work.

  • LittleMissSarah 💕 Little Miss 💫 (@LittleMissSarah) reported

@NBN_Australia I’m still stuck on fixed wireless and it’s terrible I mean we are so behind the rest of the world it’s sad. Can’t even stream live sport without lag so pathetic. Yet your just upgrading people already upgraded. Your priorities are so wrong.

  • JExodus21 💧Jexodus21 (@JExodus21) reported

@MRowlandMP @MSMWatchdog2013 @NBN_Australia So why send out the story under a paywall? Clearly you can be conflicted easily. That gambling story might just just be the start of your problems

  • TaniaPV TP (@TaniaPV) reported

@KittenKong72 Had same issue. Our nbn box which is over a km away fills with crap every few years and doesn’t work. Trying to get nbn or Telstra to clear it takes about six months of phone calls and most recently a call to the TIO. Nbn and Telstra constantly duck shove issue.

  • Natasha19317558 Natasha Nichols 🐨💚 (@Natasha19317558) reported

@JosieMcskimming @p_hannam More scrutiny required of Turnbull’s prime ministership inc his accountability for #Robodebt NBN & $444m largesse to Great Barrier Reef fund. 🎩 is not centrist nor a friend of the left yet he presided over bad policy

  • thebrickcleaner Brett Keleher (@thebrickcleaner) reported

@hallstrong1 Nah I’ve 5G back up on my NBN modem for when the NBN drops out (often🙄) and it’s crap for streaming etc.

  • therealrobgrant Rob Grant 💉x4 (@therealrobgrant) reported

@MRowlandMP @Mountaingoat55 @NBN_Australia NBN is a sad joke.I have trouble achieving more than about 70-80mbps download in my Sydney home and pay about $100/month.In my NZ home I pay $65/month for the slowest speed available of 300mbps. Because the Libs had to prove they could do it cheaper (but not better) than Labor.

  • rangichan rangiku (@rangichan) reported

@LizardHumanoid @whitestar262 I am so sorry you have such horrid internet in Australia. NBN kinda a disaster, right? smh

  • ComicalEngr James Shorthouse C(P)Eng FIChemE FIEAust (@ComicalEngr) reported

@CaroDiRusso Hence why I signed up for a fixed wireless service as the NBN was so disappointing. We live is one of the most urbanised countries in the world. It should not be that hard to get at least average internet speeds compared to our competitors.

  • liliandarmono Lilian 💉 💉 💉 💉 (@liliandarmono) reported

@lauraporat We make sure the place we work from (house/rented office space, etc) has NBN (National Broadband Network). No problems otherwise. Husband works with multiple people remotely in the UK and US, video calls, live streams, etc, never been a problem.
