@geoffrey_payne @vision_iii Margins of the providers have been eaten up by wholesale costs. It’s worse now than it was when Telstra owned the fixed line network. Telcos avoiding the NBN makes the NBN business worse and more of a loss for taxpayers

@alvinfoo It’s still much the same in Australia with the ridiculous fibre to the node nbn instead of to the home. Our hopelessly slow speeds & that’s if you even have access to the nbn. That’s what our idiot cheapskate LNP govt have given Australia amongst a litany of costly failures.

NBN is expensive and has stupid cost constraints on performance. So people are paying more and the network can’t operate as quickly as it could because of dumb things like CVC. Yet everyone is focus on the last mile tech

@NBN_Australia I have taken this up with Telstra on 3 occasions. It's the old Foxtel cable. It apparently needs an upgrade. Not prepared to help

@PaulFletcherMP I have NBN I live about 30ks from the city of Sydney My modem since the day it was installed tells me there’s no signal I was unable to work from home during the lockdown because the Internet dropped in and out all day making work impossible to complete efficiently or effectively

@MickamiousG @Starlink Nbn fttc at my current address, max of 100/20 but have a shared data sim on my Vodafone service and can get around 400-800 down and 30-90 up (I have 750gb data a month on mobile plan so plenty for day to day use) When I do move its most likely more regional (thanks to cost of living) so starlink may be my only decent internet connection there.

@optus_help your nbn is a joke. For about a month in my area it’s been “network degradation, fixed within 5 days” and then 5 days later it’s another few days expected and this continuously happens. Now it says expected to be fixed yesterday but it’s today and still awful.
