First day back in the office since the floods… NBN is not working lol.

  • magnetikonline Peter Mescalchin (@magnetikonline) reported

Seriously @NBN_Australia you've got to do better with the emergency outage messages - you've sent the message to @Aussie_BB exactly two minutes before cutting the service. And you're providing *zero* updates/detail as the nature of the works/repairs onto the ISP once resolved.

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@CurtisWahlfeld It can also be that, the connection on the nbn network dropped earlier which caused the issue and when it returned the router needed to be reset to refresh the connection 2/2. -Mel

  • serrano_rene I Dissent!!!! (@serrano_rene) reported

@ZTEPress ZTE-NBN corruption deal with the arroyo administration will never be forgotten.

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@CurtisWahlfeld Our earlier test showed that your connection was down, the error we got mostly shows when there's a cable that's not properly connected or the NBN line dropped out. If you checked your cables then that may have fixed the issue 1/2 -Mel

  • Bosca61 Mark Boscawen 💧🐀🇺🇦🌎🌡🚴🏼‍♂️🤿🔊💉💉💉😷 (@Bosca61) reported

@Mountaingoat55 The network itself may have been more robust. But as soon as the Network Termination Device went underwater the NBN would fail at that household/business. Then like every other electrical device submerged in a flood it’s throw out & replace to restore service.

@OMGTheMess Labor had started rolling out a better NBN when they the election and the LNP reverted to current second rate service.

An update on my slow NBN. Turns out all I needed to do was switch the Wi-Fi from the 2.5 Ghz band to the 5 Ghz band. Why this wasn't explained in the basic setup documents ... or in many of the articles I read online about slow NBN .. is beyond me.
