@Peter_Fitz The issue in the future will be people not needing the grid and "disconnecting". Eventually the grid will be required for properties and will be rolled into rates/land taxes or NBN equivalent.

@LeanHugeGraves When I made Aliyah 21 years ago, NBN gave a stipend, and then the state of Israel gave some financial help too for a year or so too.

@yoavkaufman I tried, but NbN wouldn't help when I was having problems finding a rabbi to sign my papers here in Montreal even though my gf was a Cantor and Grand Uncle was a war hero for the IDF after escaping the camps and fighting with the militia during WWII

@Starlink Starlink helped us out enormously, we had no fast internet, Telstra in Australia wouldn't help, we are in a regional town where residents get the NBN but commercial district don't. We connect over 20 devices and 60 staff, can't do that without Starlink.

@SeacretMist @Starlink You kidding me compared to Australia services I’ve had bliss until one incident. If I was on NBN I would’ve clocked up at least 100 and something dollars in tech calls already.

I've never had nbn drop out more frequently than @DodoAustralia. Puts up the price and proceeds to get worse.

Australia’s NBN still relies on outdated market logic favoring providers over people, leaving many underserved. Despite broadband’s essential role, consumers face complexity, poor choice, and low empowerment. We must treat internet as a basic right, not a luxury. #AusPol

Robodebt was implemented exactly as Shorten had written it. NBN costs blew out because Labor China imposed tariffs because Scumo dared question the origins of Covid. (But Labor cause an over reliance on China since Rudd) Albo held a job summit during a worker shortage that would have driven wages, instead forcing mass migration suppressing wages much more than Libs. You are still falling for Mediscare? How's "you will only need your Medicare card to see the doctor? Both are ****.

@russ61 @goodfoodgal ScoMo completely decimated the NBN, turned it into an utter train wreck that continues to screw our country. Now we have this ****** network still being rolled out, we could’ve had fibre to, at least, nodes without being sold out.
