  @BeauGiles You typically use the mobile network as the backup to a wired connection. E.g. at our business the NBN was so unreliable we installed a 4g failover modem, but you need to know they exist & how to configure them. Most people don't have that level of IT know-how.

  Okay plan from here is 4G dongle until my Starlink is delivered and installed. Didn't really want this option but kinda got no choice cause NBN is stupid how they run things.

  @RobERussell1 @FranMooMoo Yes it is. I did some checking&at the moment I'm better off staying with the NBN network. I have told this to Elon many times,but I never get an answer. Same goes for his paid premium subscription to X. It sounds reasonable in American dollars, but that explodes in our currency.

  @KymRob25112 compared to NBN setup, book installer, wait two weeks, installer fails to show, rebook, wait another two weeks, installer shows up, signal has to be bounced of barn roof, then wait another 4 weeks for NBN co to process it. so two months for nbn vs two hours for starlink.

  @basespanker @Batman2242 That was a fttn upgrade with Telco support, but libs called it fraudband due to the minor upgrade so it got scrapped and years later the #nbn was formed to rollout fibre to 93% of premises. LNP got in and decided to do fraudband

  @TruthdriverOn Telstra is a dinosaur. The sooner Australia realises this, the better. The NBN has been a sad episode in Australia's history and continues to be. Snowy 2.0 is a disaster and will continue to cost Millions and may not even operate. Federal Gov. is the problem. Are you awake yet!
