    Superloop is the 3rd RSP. Let's see if I can get more details out of them tomorrow on what path/route of the FTTN is a problem. NBN co seriously can't manage a raffle in a pub.

    @GregNordo @AllBiteNoBark88 I just had another go with Optus. Literally no internet during peak hrs. Their NBN is unbelievably bad, even my business plan was dropping out 20 times a day. Aldi it is.....

    @VoteLewko @Starlink Speed is latency. No satellite connection is "high speed" sick of the disinformation. Starlink is 20ms-40ms+ latency like mobile garbage is. NBN is a whopping 600ms latency. They need to keep this junk away from fibre areas where I get 2ms latency and have had since 2022.

    @ShaneOliverAMP A big part of the problem is that starting from the 2010's more of our spending now goes to megatech platforms that extract Australian revenue without the old local multiplier. When $100 went to Ford or Holden, a retailer or a local media company, a large portion recycled through local wages, suppliers, property, logistics and tax. Now when $100 goes to a global ad platform, streaming service or cloud provider much more can disappear offshore through IP, reseller fees and related party charges with far less local employment or supplier spend despite the use of infrastructure like NBN and roads. So government keeps importing demand and taxing workers harder to fund services while more private spending leaks offshore to low local footprint platforms. That extraction is not productive for our economy and is increasingly an issue, especially when profits are being offshored and Australian taxpayers are unfairly carrying the burden.

    A guy moved into a new apartment. Only “official” internet was FTTN NBN — $90/month for a pathetic 30 Mbps down max. He called Telstra and Optus. Both said “5G Fixed Wireless not available at your address.” He checked a cell tower map anyway. Half a dozen towers within a couple km. Bought a GL.iNet GL-X3000NR 5G router + built a DIY 4x4 MIMO LPDA external antenna. Result? 800 Mbps download / 170 Mbps upload. 25x faster. $75/month. Same building. Here’s exactly how he did it 🧵

    Im also not claiming it 100% never happened. Or that I was 100% wrong. As I’ve seen no real evidence to disprove this is false either. But if it wasn’t said directly in the BBN server I don’t wanna act like it is. Even if YouTubers and NBN devs supported it to be unintentionally.

    @SydneyCityTV Those horrendous pins are still being worn. WIN News’ product is piss poor compared to NBN News. But the latter will probably become rubbish in time.
