  • psg_au Peter (@psg_au) reported

@NBN_Australia My Father had TWO appointments cancelled because the NBN Tech could see the modem from the exchange and no issues. He did both to check if there was any data flowing - There couldn't be, because the Ethernet interface on the modem was "cooked"

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@abril_latrene We aplogise for the inconvenience, Abril. We've been advised by NBN Co that corrective action within their network equipment is done and shows that the case has been resolved. We've detected that your service has been restored. Let us know if you need further assistance. -Basil

reminder than NBN cost 51 billion and is still terrible

  • DanSuper73 Daniel Superina (@DanSuper73) reported

@neil_killick @Aussie_BB 1/ Hi mate, I won’t get started on the past few weeks I’ve had. But - ALL of my troubles are related to NBN infra and not the ISP. Flooded Telstra pits, dodgy ‘fixes’ with how they configure the available ports, ‘leaks’ throughout the network. Ugh!

  • psg_au Peter (@psg_au) reported

@NBN_Australia The rest of the time, it is sitting in the exchange, "pinging" modems on the other end of the phone line and discounting, dismissing that the customer knows what he is talking about. I HAVE SEEN THIS PERSONALLY FIRST HAND on at least TWO occasions.

  • psg_au Peter (@psg_au) reported

@NBN_Australia TELSTRA sent their OWN Tech out because even they were afraid any further NBN appointments would be cancelled out of the same "Oh, its working, I can see the modem" Mentality... NBN Wouldn't know what customer service was even if it bit them...

@PaulMeekPerth What about those who cannot afford ****** nbn service, or the impaired, etc etc 🤬

  • gusworldau Angus Kidman (@gusworldau) reported

@jendudley they might be doing the "temporary upgrade" thing via NBN incentives, been quite common in recent months. Alternative: never trust Speedtest. Both may be true.

  • DemocracyIt Democracy is so good Corporations own it (@DemocracyIt) reported

@LucyTurnbull_AO Could it be that copper based injections are really inferior to fibre to the premises type injections, cost more, offer less, help Murdoch, ruin our infrastructure, sell out Australia all to become PM. Oh Covid vaccine, sorry thought you were asking why the NBN is shot=>LNP.

  • dawkins_scott Scott Dawkins (@dawkins_scott) reported

@jendudley unrelated to your NBN promo, but I discovered my parents on the old Optus cable network get 100mbs if they keep using their old cable modem, or it goes down to 50mb if they use their NBN modem. But the NBN modem doubles the up speed!
