  @MichaelRuyg apology would be nice, no chance of a refund. despite larger ISP's being forced to refund people on fixed wireless who paid for service speed nbn could not deliver, my small one was not included in that settlement.

  @EmmasLastStand @MickamiousG I built my house. Owner/builder. In a remote area. I'm using starlink. No nbn access or phone service. I hired plumbers, electricians, builder, concreters etc. They all have bank accounts. I paid electronically. The only reason for them needing cash is tax avoidance. Fraud.

  Damn, my NBN has been down since noon today. I'm hot-spotting for now, but it's painfully slow down here. Probably the final straw ... if they don't fix it by tomorrow morning, they'll just convince me to embrace 💫 @Starlink not that I need convincing ✨

  As a recent customer of Starlink, this has to be among the biggest runways in business. Only ~500k connections in Australia, apparently still >8.5m suffering through our joke of an NBN... That's just the opportunity in our little tinpot country.

  @TopherField the NBNs answer to not being able to lay fiber down and close gaps was to ***** fixed wireless towers for land to land satelite, for which each tower probably services on average like, 500 people, according to what the NBN told me anyway.

  @AGLEnergy I am having HUGE problems resolving an Internet support ticket CRQ100000371017. I cannot get through on the phone or chat service. Everything has massive 30 minute plus wait times and then it drops out. My NBN internet service was out of action every day last week. Please help.

  @GearlessRoe I need internet, I'll go nuts without it. Heh. I miss gaming, waste of time as it was. I need some connection to the outside world, as much as I like/need my solitude. There is one section in this place where I get signal good enough to stream/use the internet well enough. Everywhere else is essentially dead. Miss being able to use the phone in bed, have to hotspot it & put it in one specific spot & use the PC now. See what happens/what I do these coming weeks. If I don't leave here/get kicked out for breaching them, and I can get more dollars in, Starlink will be the way. In theory. Shame though, $85 a month for only 100gb is an oof. My NBN plan with unlimited data at the last place was only $70 a month. Without further dollars/income, cannot afford. Will have to sort something soon. My entire situation right now is *not* sustainable.

  @desmondbratcat @nbn @Starlink In a sense its not the ISPs fault, its the NBNs fault. The problem as per last week, an NBN tech came out to connect someone in my complex. Seems he unplugged me at the pit. I don't know why we still have ISPs when they just default to the NBN to come out & fix the issue.

  @TopherField Satellite has been about forever, the government never got in its way, I had it and it was ****. I used NBN relatively successfully over inferior satellite technologies until Starlink came along. Your opinions don’t appear to align with my experiences accurately.

  @TopherField Worst decision I made getting nbn. Nothing but issues since installation. Massive lemon. Stay away.
