    Nbn Down for maintenance at Inverleigh. That means no Eftpos . No till. No ATM to be able to withdraw cash. Go cashless they say. What a load of ****.

    @shaunacohn @Starlink If there is no service in your area, it’s likely due to development, outage or missing database record. Check the NBN Rollout Map on their website. Verify your address. Your address may be missing. There is widespread NBN coverage on Gold Coast. Check their website.

    @jarro56 @isaacfloyd13 There was bipartisan support for the NDIS & NBN because they were popular as their projected cost were fractions of what they actually became. The NBN could have been delivered by private sector for fraction of cost & is likely to be obsolete in future.

    I told people when the Krudd had his NBN brain fart that it would be a colossal waste of money and that the future was wireless, and people told me I was being stupid. I remember the French government and their massive white elephant the Minitel system. Same government stupidity, every single time.

Write: “Installer jumped other jobs, took extra cash, destroyed my NBN infrastructure instead of installing Starlink properly and connecting devices. On top plan. Demand immediate fix, replacement hardware if needed, and investigation.” Not r e a l l y what I expected 2 bill periods in. One mobile phone connected. Arguing with grok about what’s possible and what isn’t.

    @TopherField I signed up to Starlink precisely because of the NBN, and the way broadband is handled in this country. Got a technical issue? 9 times out of 10, NBN need to fix. But there is no direct line to them - you have to use your ISP as a middle man to send messages back and forth. Something gets lost in translation, start over. It is an exercise in frustration. The last words I said to my previous ISP ("Aussie" Broadband) was "you just made a very good case for Starlink. Cancel my account" Been on Starlink for almost a year. Not one single drop out, great speeds, even online FPS games run great. TLDR: **** the NBN

    I rearranged my furniture like I said I might. Crashed my NBN doing it and now it will not connect. Spent the last hour on the providers help text… the backup 4G SIM WiFi Connection isn’t working either… the technician is coming later this week … The flat is more cluttered and I should have left it like it was… That filled the day anyway. I needed the exercise… I can’t sleep ..

    @TTAlwaysWins I’m pretty sure our issue is water ingress in the pits. When it rains it stops working. The last time it stopped (3rd time in 6 weeks), by the time NBN came to fix it (4 days) it was working again, so they blamed us. But Dodo has line tests showing it wasn’t working and I have photos showing the DSL link not connecting. The NBN is a white elephant. The government needs to sell it now and get whatever it can and move on. I ordered the Starlink dish the same day I booked the NBN repair. The dish came the same day as the NBN tech.
