It has taken 7 months to install NBN in my premises even though my neighbours in the same street have NBN since mid 2020 Worst part is NBN technicians installed NBN box in my garage a month ago and NBN co engineers need 45 days to test and activate the port. This is unbelievable.

@MRowlandMP The real problem with the Tony Abbott-Malcolm Turnbull NBN is that when the power is down or the modem is off, one can't make emergency phone calls. This is lunacy. People caught by the storms in Victoria are worse than isolated. Surely, there is a technical fix.

@Telstra The wireless nbn is not working, says it can’t get mobile coverage. Phones are also only 1 bar and extremely slow. Takes 5 minutes to load Twitter / everything.

Update: like Icarus, I have flown too near the sun on wings fabricated from my own hubris. Falling branches in last night's storm have knocked out the NBN line to my house, and therefore my wifi bin tower. NBN outages attributable to storm damage: 2 Outages on the bin tower: 1

Why does @NBN_Australia not have disaster recovery plans for simple power outages? I've invested thousands in emergency power, they've apparently invested zero. The local pizza shop was up and running on a generator within 24hrs ffs.

@NBN_Australia Can we get a solid uninterrupted service for more than a few days at a time? The NBN is broken and I hate this. Its issue after issue and its not my providers fault. -_-

@Telstra We literally have no NBN and no cellular reception in Monbulk. If we need emergency services we are in serious trouble. I hope some priority is given to areas like this.
