    So happy I got the NBN FTTP upgrade from FTTC. Every time there's a thunderstorm/power outage now (like last night) a whole stack of people on FTTC in our estate are left without access until NBN send techs out to reset the stuff in the pits. Its such a poorly designed system.

    @NBN_Australia Just saying it is an unplanned outage and nothing else doesn't inspire any confidence that you know what's wrong. The fact it is unplanned, it is an outage, and have no real idea of when it will be back is the same fault description that my 5-year-old grandson could give.

    @Telstra I have been dealing with these issues for years, multiple modem changes do nothing, NBN techs have tested from my end and the problems are external to my equipment. But the old "you're connected, that's good enough" policy means no matter how slow it gets, nothing will be done.

    AHAHAHA love to be completing research for an essay but there’s a thunderstorm so I’ve had to turn off the NBN, also rushing to plug all the chargeable things in with internet in case we get a blackout. I love living in the mtns 😪

    @benandwine Did you inform 7 year old of the NBN wars of 2007 - 2013 where FTTP was defeated by a ragtag coalition of mixed technologies that would never really work together?

    @NBN_Australia No, the service came back. For unplanned outages, a reasonable description of the fault would be good so people can get a sense of what's wrong and how big the job is. This would give more confidence that NBN knows what is happening in the network.

    @Ferns__ Same experience here except with trying to turn off my Dad's Comcast (equivalent of NBN there) - they want copies of his death certificate, trust documents, my mother's death certificate, my blood, witnesses at the service - I just left it on for a bit

    .@weezmgk I just had a case of close lighting strike causing the NBN box to go on strike. Blue power light on, connection light flashing red, no other lights. Relay clicking inside the box. I seem to recall that you had a crafty reset procedure. Help?

    @Aussie_BB Hi, are your services down? We have no internet. I have done the turn it off and on again thing with the NBN connection box and router.
