@ZachWeiner Part of the other side of the issue was that once the NBN came into your area, the original phone lines shut down, so you had to get an NBN plan. A lot of telcos shoved people onto a 12 Mbps plan, which was never designed for internet use, only as a phone line

@TMSNews24 @julia_andre7 @Asher_Wolf The NBN's separate to mobile infra. Australia's huge, and there's little economic benefit in covering sparsely populated areas like borders (and their highways). As the lines get slower, people likely start using more bandwidth-intensive entertainment, making the problem worse.

@Telstra 8.05am email on a Saturday morning is not enough notice for a 7 hour NBN upgrade outage on Monday starting at 8am! My son is WFH providing an essential service with the NRS. Unless his boss checks emails on the weekend how’s he supposed to let them know he can’t work?

@JeanRui2 @TurnbullMalcolm He talked a good talk. However he achieved literally nothing, gutted the NBN for #Murdochtopia, leading to Aus having one of worst internet in OECD. watched over rollbacks of environmental protections. Now it’s like he expects us not to remember how spineless he was.

@NBN_Australia That link is all basic stuff. It's fine for a few days and then one day it will be super slow. Next day back to normal. Only started happening the past week.
