    @DifficultNerd @stnapAtnaf Sadly not the case. NBN have confirmed with me that we will never get 50 Mbps due to the distance we are away from the first node. They also didn’t replace the aging copper on the main street and line faults is a regular thing to happen.

    @stnapAtnaf @DifficultNerd It’s actually hilarious to see media reports of the NBN struggling. Remote learning/video/working, video streaming, etc, etc is exactly why a proper next-gen network should have been built.

    What disgraceful service @Telstra. Been in new house for more than 2 weeks. Only 4 days of NBN working. Told they would be here on Saturday between 8am and 12pm. Waited all day and then called Telstra to be told NBN will be back on Wednesday. Disgraceful.

    @TopherField I didn't say I was against Starlink, what I'm saying is people can wax lyrical about this being disruptive 15 years after the NBN was started to sound prophetic when it was not a viable solution 15 years ago

    @RyanJones6980 @Starlink @starlink is only AU$10/month more than NBN plan in my area (regional NSW). It cost me $300 up front to connect to the NBN, and it's been heartache since then. Those in my local area have not reported any issues since connecting several years ago.

    @MichaelRuyg apology would be nice, no chance of a refund. despite larger ISP's being forced to refund people on fixed wireless who paid for service speed nbn could not deliver, my small one was not included in that settlement.

    @JohnnyLydon I just moved to a new NBN provider. While researching, Canstar, Whistleout and others just gave me the same handful of companies to choose from. After asking AI (both Grok and ChatGPT) I ended up with a huge list of potentials with some real good deals. Comparison sites are ****.

    @TheUSFeedX Yes I would because it’s a good service. But my service just went from $136 a month to $150 a month, yet the local NBN in Australia is about $85 a month.

    @loftwah They didn't even finish the NBN 1.0 so it makes sense. One of my mates had an NBN contract and he got paid stupid amounts of money and he said he'd finish by 2pm, took long lunches and could push appointments by saying he was too busy. Zero oversight. Huge rort.

    OR they could say? Starlink is the same OR cheaper and gives better service! while our sat service costs a LOT for lousy speeds and is ****** if? it works at all Elon Musk cashes in on Australia’s NBN fail Bush families are being forced to pay the world’s richest man for basic phone coverage, as Australia’s bungled NBN rollout leaves dangerous black spots across the regions.     @immyonboard @Telstra If you are talking about NBN, there are many choices of ISPs that are superior to Telstra. If you need mobile, anyone on the Vodafone network is probably the best (seems to be the most reliable of the 3 networks)
