NBN have confirmed with me that we will never get 50 Mbps due to the distance we are away from the first node. They also didn’t replace the aging copper on the main street and line faults is a regular thing to happen.

Told they would be here on Saturday between 8am and 12pm. Waited all day and then called Telstra to be told NBN will be back on Wednesday. Disgraceful.

Profit motive kicks in as do rorts & fraud. Also see the Unemployment Services, Housing, NBN etc. It isn't the scheme itself, it's the people who run it.

Forcing us to consume an internet that you can charge more for at any moment is an extrotion racket. I hope you fix this asap. Any mandatory expectation should be met with free service or cheap rates.

And for the first four months it's even cheaper than that, during their current promotion. Just a shame it's so slow.
