As if the #nbn will do anything, been going thru this crap since the switchover. #nbn totally unaccountable, and blame the providers. See the connection just like Gov blame everyone else.

Hey @Telstra, how does this work... I cancel a broadband cable that I’ve had with you for years to avoid being forced onto NBN, and instead I commit to you for 3 years with home hub. And you want to charge me cancellation fees. Please explain the sense in that.

Well after a 8hrs and 57 min #Nbn outage. And as conversing with the customer service at Aussie Broadband. The #nbn flared into action. Now that to me seems like they are metering the amount of data. Without really telling you that you are capped. The fight continues for credit.

Now had @TPG_Telecom #HFC 100 #nbn for over a month now. Consistently high speeds regardless of the time of day, no drop outs, great customer service. Credit where credit is due, I’m glad my NBN is working as advertised.

@WayneConnor The NBN skimped on fixed wireless.The constraint is at the radio layer, either microwave link to the tower or the antenna to your house. Changing isp will not help. But I’m sure a smart hacker like you could rig your own radio/laser/WiFi point to point link to somewhere in town.

@lynlinking Blame LNP Government for this, they have stuffed up the NBN & won't be told, won't discuss, won't write down the $51+bn & therefore taxpayers pay twice, once for build & second for overpriced connection deals through RSP's.......LNP were warned......watch how much this costs us

@frogworth Life hack - spend your day in any icy cold Sydney bus on constant loop, tethering 4G on your laptop because the NBN sucks anyway. Cheaper than a co working space.

Experienced my first @NBN_Australia outage. Microwave link dropped for about five minutes. By the time I’d isolated what had died, it was back before I could even call my ISP. Compared with ADSL faults* - I can live with this! *Some measured in weeks.

@mynameisiphone6 However we have found that many old occupiers have taken the NBN box (modem) with them not realising it stays at the property. On the other hand if your property never has NBN connection before then yes a new box is required. Kartik

@tkodude @NBN_Australia Theoretically yes, but not if they all decided to actually do that.. Capacity on mobile will never equal what fixed can offer. The tragedy is the original NBN plan of near-100% FTTP would've been great.

@beorthes It’s complicated, but in Australia we have a government-run company (NBN Co.) who provide wholesale access to the internet. They handle the infrastructure and sell network access to ISPs.

@iiNet for god's sake stop emailing me and texting me saying my NBN service is awaiting activation. I'm now reporting this as spam. Given you couldn't connect me at my new address (after 20 days) I cancelled my account 3 days ago - yet you can't even process a cancellation!

@Geofftheplumber @colleenhm @davidbewart this is true for all govt money alledgedly set aside for support. Where are all the 1000s of houses for poor meant to be built years ago? Where did the billions for NBN go? The carer support $? And on and on - its diverted and lines corrupt pockets.
