    What disgraceful service @Telstra. Been in new house for more than 2 weeks. Only 4 days of NBN working. Told they would be here on Saturday between 8am and 12pm. Waited all day and then called Telstra to be told NBN will be back on Wednesday. Disgraceful.

    @stnapAtnaf @DifficultNerd It’s actually hilarious to see media reports of the NBN struggling. Remote learning/video/working, video streaming, etc, etc is exactly why a proper next-gen network should have been built.

    @DifficultNerd @stnapAtnaf Sadly not the case. NBN have confirmed with me that we will never get 50 Mbps due to the distance we are away from the first node. They also didn’t replace the aging copper on the main street and line faults is a regular thing to happen.

    @Jenbox360 Nah that's not torture... I've finally convinced my ISP & NBN here there's an issue with my fibre connection with 40+ dropouts a day. It's taken them a month & 4 callouts to finally accept it's not my hardware or within my property. I was losing my mind.

    $58.10 is Aussie Broadband's "special 6 months price". For 25mbps down, 10mbps up... Meanwhile Amaysim's offer is $30 a month for 6 months. It's so retarded. The NBN/gov should be ashamed of themselves. Cost of access is way too high and it's causing ridiculous market behaviour.

    @pigways @Batman2242 NBN satellites have been in service since 2013 that provided a significantly improved service for remote and regional areas. Starlink only arrived in the last few years. Perhaps Amazon was able to meet the design and contract requirements set by #nbn and starlink couldn't.

    @eddit0r @OperationalInc1 Hey wait, if I live in an estate/apartment building that has non-NBN fibre and Telstra don't sell services on it, and I call them to order my USO-guaranteed home phone service and they say no, can I sue them?

    @GreenTyler27 I cant remember even 1 gov project being completed on time and on budget. Completely the opposite, snowy 2 ..... How much has the NBN cost us! Jacinta spending spree! The list of failures never ends in Australia

    @ShaneOliverAMP A big part of the problem is that starting from the 2010's more of our spending now goes to megatech platforms that extract Australian revenue without the old local multiplier. When $100 went to Ford or Holden, a retailer or a local media company, a large portion recycled through local wages, suppliers, property, logistics and tax. Now when $100 goes to a global ad platform, streaming service or cloud provider much more can disappear offshore through IP, reseller fees and related party charges with far less local employment or supplier spend despite the use of infrastructure like NBN and roads. So government keeps importing demand and taxing workers harder to fund services while more private spending leaks offshore to low local footprint platforms. That extraction is not productive for our economy and is increasingly an issue, especially when profits are being offshored and Australian taxpayers are unfairly carrying the burden.

    @OperationalInc1 Whenever the NBN low-earth orbit satelitte service kicks off (Amazon's burgeoning network), the backup should switch to that. Aside from some parts of inner Perth/Melb/Syd/Bris, all of the rail network is on the surface and will be able to uplink, I would have thought.

    @NBN_Australia Working hard! More like hardly working! It's been nearly 24hrs since it went down with no updates, no notice of what's actually wrong. NBN being government funded as well, is so ****!
