One of the big delays in Telstra going to DOCSIS3 was apparently because they had old kit (theirs and customers) still on the network.

    @jendudley @Telstra I am a mega geek too. I generally notice bad network performance. I really hate buffering in particular. My wife complained about the NBN being slow the other day, then realised she wasn't on Wi-Fi and it was actually the Telstra 4G service having issues.

    @NBN_Australia currently can’t connect to the internet for no ****** reason except that there are random ****** outages in Sydney. Internet will connect for few minutes and then off it goes again. Thanks @NBN_Australia you worthless piece of shit.

    So now if I want to connect the $380 device we were sold to fix the poorly working backup connection while we wait for the poorly ordered NBN location move to be completely cancelled before it can be re-ordered correctly, I need to buy another sim card for $80/mth to make it work

    @GordyPls The concept of over provisioning a service to account for header and encaps overhead isn’t new and has been a standard WAN product factor since before NBN was born. NBN chose to do this solely because they don’t exist to satisfy consumer sentiment. 🙄

    @Optus. I’ve taken 2 days off work for 2 nbn technicians to visit. Each time they said Optus need to finalise the connection. This has gone on for a month and you’ve charged me for a service you have been unable to provide. How do I cancel you Optus ?

    I had something to sort out on my grandparents' Aussie Broadband NBN connection and I got through to Aussie customer support within a minute. Issue was resolved within 17 minutes. You wouldn't be able to get through at all with Telstra. My Nan is now with @ALDIAustralia Mobile.

    @k_mckenzie5 It's a bit of a lottery sadly. the current federal government decided to cut corners and use old technology and infrastructure to power large sections of the NBN meaning a poor experience for many but a great experience for some.
