@AnthonyRolles @lukeroberston @abcnews No progress on indigenous issues since, and in fact gone backwards. Oz avoided GFC impacts of all OECD countries due to fiscal response - current Covid response now dwarfs it. Refugee issue ramped up under Howard - see today's 2000 cabinet papers released. Presume you're on NBN?

  • aussiewongm Marcus Wong (@aussiewongm) reported

@the_tezt @NBN_Australia Turns out the entire pole was demolished by a stay motorists, taking out power in the area for a few weeks. The power company installed a new pole to restore power, but the comms cable fix seems to have just been cobbled together.

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@LeaviisG Sorry to hear you're having some issues with your NBN connection. Please send us your full address and internet username/ landline no. so we can look into it and provide you with a more accurate answer. Kristy

@Telstra we have problems with our wifi dropping out at the other end of our house. We have one of your wireless routers connected to the NBN.

For #Aussie followers. We've been told it's time to sign up to the NBN, against my wishes. Any recommendations for service providers that actually provide good service. Currently getting around 60mbps download speed regularly and rarely having any problems with Telstra Cable.

  • Villa847 Carlos Villazon (@Villa847) reported

@NBN_Australia my service went out at 2am last night. Is there a fault in the area of NSW 2153? NBN connection box has been flashing all day and night.

  • ScottFitzG Scott Fitzgerald (@ScottFitzG) reported

As ever, because rain while I was away, our internet is out until Monday, when an @NBN_Australia technician visits. Perhaps *this* time the core problem will be attended to - the wiring and connection out on the street aren’t fit for purpose.

  • yaleman43381258 James Hodgkinson (@yaleman43381258) reported

@TMSNews24 @julia_andre7 @Asher_Wolf The NBN's separate to mobile infra. Australia's huge, and there's little economic benefit in covering sparsely populated areas like borders (and their highways). As the lines get slower, people likely start using more bandwidth-intensive entertainment, making the problem worse.

@ShiannonC Wow ... that’s an amazing list (over 4 tweets) when listed like that. Not sure of the time frame for those listed, but guessing it doesn’t include Abbott or Turnbull because no mention of car manufacturing abandonment, Duke Phil’s knighthood or NBN fiasco ... so not bad for 2 yrs
