@Vintuitive Must just be that the NBN is shit 😉🤣

  • cjnetlink Cory (@cjnetlink) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

Why is @3AW693 targeting @Telstra about the NBN and how it’ll cope with the increased load on the network. There are other providers of the NBN out there. #sheeple listening will take any slow downs or outages as being Telstra’s fault/problem.

  • maxblake44 Max Blake (@maxblake44) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@iiNet hey guys just wondering if there is an wife spread outage in the 3216 area (NBN) haven’t got any internet this morning and last night it was on/off

  • KathyReid Kathy Reid, Servant of House Corgi (@KathyReid) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

Summary: we almost-delivered an obsolete network not fit for purpose and now we're struggling with finding a way to make it valuable as a private asset and service our debt, and raise capital to rebuild it post-2020 instead of it being made a public utility #NBN #NBN2

  • monicasmeow Monicasmeow🐈 (@monicasmeow) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

  • maxblake44 Max Blake (@maxblake44) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@iiNet hey guys just wondering if there is an wide spread outage in the 3216 area (NBN) haven’t got any internet this morning and last night it was on/off

And 3 out of 4 premises are now capable of connecting to the NBN! Well that is at your own risk! It's just more bullshit from government and ISP companies to scam more money from anyone stupid enough to opt for this NBN CRAP!

  • Lucy50010 Lucy500 (@Lucy50010) reported

@markhumphries Is skipping the NBN entirely and going mobile for your broadband service an option? Especially 5G, if in a 5G serviced location. Don't know how the $$ compares for the mthly contract bill tho.

  • georbear AusValues (@georbear) reported

@marauderlil90 @markhumphries Yes, it's a terrible market for renters. There are huge shortages of rental properties. These issues are much bigger and more important than a $300 NBN connection.

  • VoxExSinister DeusINXS (@VoxExSinister) reported

@DaveColvin @markhumphries They only give you a router, not the actual NBN modem. Also, TPG has turned to crap over the last year or so. The final straw for me was trying to phone them to upgrade my plan & I couldn't get through on their sales line. I ended up switching to Aussie Broadband.

  • Buftie9 Sean Wootton (@Buftie9) reported

@vaughantobewild @markhumphries @NBN_Australia Why? ‘Someone wants to charge someone $300 to install the service into their home, but the owner doesn’t want to pay it?’ Better go to the ombudsman.

  • Nick_Roberts74 Buckets (@Nick_Roberts74) reported

@SteveJohnsonCAD @markhumphries So an NBN customer should only need to pay the fee once rather than having to pay it every time they move. *******.

  • EleanorFitzgib2 Eleanor Fitzgibbon (@EleanorFitzgib2) reported

@frosty_morgan @markhumphries Renter here chose not to go with NBN when it was free connection. Why? Monthly extra cost. Neighbours' NBN is poor. Couldn't get straight answers from NBN. Technical issues re placement of the box. Owner will connect for next tennant. Very happy running hotspot from my phone.

  • Rockstr688 Rkstr688 (@Rockstr688) reported

@NewSammyChan @NBN_Australia Never happen in Australia. We're too lax too laid back. Yanks have a ton more competition. We have tons of fat overpaid middle managers ..they have no need to improve. None. Zero.. Once starlink gets faster and cheaper NBN can suck a bag of *****.

  • mitchul_hope Mitchul Hope (@mitchul_hope) reported

@notsomadboy @ryanjchr Should it not be the responsibility of the landlord to pay it? I would consider that the same type of utility charge as a landlord paying to fix elec~/plumbing. Hardly fair that a tenant has to pay a one off fee so that everyone else who ever rents that house can get the NBN.

  • FreeKs66 Kai Free (@FreeKs66) reported

@markhumphries Yup, daughters rental has dodgy wiring for nbn that keeps cutting out. Landlord refuses to fix it.

  • TheRealPembo Michael Pemberton (@TheRealPembo) reported

@markhumphries @PhillipAdams_1 I take this to mean that your NBN problem was solved by screaming something out of a nearby window.
