Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Pettavel and nearby locations:

  • KathyReid Kathy Reid, Servant of House Corgi (@KathyReid) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

Summary: we almost-delivered an obsolete network not fit for purpose and now we're struggling with finding a way to make it valuable as a private asset and service our debt, and raise capital to rebuild it post-2020 instead of it being made a public utility #NBN #NBN2

  • monicasmeow Monicasmeow🐈 (@monicasmeow) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

  • cjnetlink Cory (@cjnetlink) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

Why is @3AW693 targeting @Telstra about the NBN and how it’ll cope with the increased load on the network. There are other providers of the NBN out there. #sheeple listening will take any slow downs or outages as being Telstra’s fault/problem.

  • 75b0ce8567df4cd Dave Wood (@75b0ce8567df4cd) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

And 3 out of 4 premises are now capable of connecting to the NBN! Well that is at your own risk! It's just more bullshit from government and ISP companies to scam more money from anyone stupid enough to opt for this NBN CRAP!

  • cory_actually CORY (@cory_actually) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@Vintuitive Must just be that the NBN is shit 😉🤣

  • DrCnfzd Nigel Wehr (@DrCnfzd) reported

@Telstra What a joke! How am I expected to afford $80/month? Again, Im currently paying $20/month. Im a pensioner for ffff sake! Shove your nbn where it fits, Ill stay with my current service

  • Norwichbirder James Emerson (@Norwichbirder) reported

@rock_nester @andymus1 @StevenFalk1 Always worth submitting records, however with conopids distributions are masked somewhat with dataflow issues - I think most records on iRecord are not currently verified and at a local level I'm not sure when the last fly upload to NBN would be (pretty sure pre 2016 at best)

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@omwamiKing Hey Onwami. I'm really sorry to hear about the current NBN fault that is affecting your service. If you can send us a DM, we can then look to assist and follow up on this situation further from there. Kyri

  • devnull73 Simon Scott (@devnull73) reported

@DavudMills @MediaAnalystOz @PRGuy17 Decentralisation would help a lot, but the lnp screwed the nbn, a major component.

  • kiernan_m3 Kiernan McGill (@kiernan_m3) reported

@domnixon1984 Far out. Frustrating. We experienced similar problems but with 4G wireless home broadband. Couldn’t get NBN for ages (don’t ask why, it’s a longer thread than yours). We have now switched to NBN and now you have me worried. So far so good though.

  • NeilBoltonRSPL Neil Bolton 🇺🇦 💛💙 (@NeilBoltonRSPL) reported

@MrKRudd Just get a Starlink dish. NBN will never be able to catch up.

  • sean_reynolds_ Sean Reynolds (@sean_reynolds_) reported

@missfit22627816 @MeckeringBoy @HuffPostPol Then, surprise! Malcolm Turnbull announced the new crippled NBN Co with replacement Telstra executives on the board were buying back all the obsolescent coax holdings of Optus and Foxtel for a further $10 billion to provide a network at one-tenth of the speed of fibre.

  • cornhuskerj jethro cornhusker (@cornhuskerj) reported

Thx heavens for @Telstra stores. Local store sorted major @nbn modem issue in 10 mins after online and phone support refused to help over 5 days of texting and endless phone calls n waits. #telstra #nbn

  • nicn67 Nic (@nicn67) reported

Let’s talk about the economic managers, as Josh refers to himself as. Good economics by spending more than the initial plans for the NBN despite sort of delivering a sub standard network. Then the billions wasted on converting submarines to diesel then to cancel altogether.

  • james_l_hall James Hall (@james_l_hall) reported

I will never forgive this government for ******* up the NBN. My already modest upload speed is now halved due to rising costs. This isn't how either technology or infrastructure should work. It is however, how ****** businesses work.
