Summary: we almost-delivered an obsolete network not fit for purpose and now we're struggling with finding a way to make it valuable as a private asset and service our debt, and raise capital to rebuild it post-2020 instead of it being made a public utility #NBN #NBN2

Why is @3AW693 targeting @Telstra about the NBN and how it’ll cope with the increased load on the network. There are other providers of the NBN out there. #sheeple listening will take any slow downs or outages as being Telstra’s fault/problem.

@Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

And 3 out of 4 premises are now capable of connecting to the NBN! Well that is at your own risk! It's just more bullshit from government and ISP companies to scam more money from anyone stupid enough to opt for this NBN CRAP!

@Telstra It's a new service being set up, so that everything is via telstra, because of the nbn, so when the second technician came out, they said it would be connected by Jan 5th. He assumed it would be to coincide with the next bill, but nothing

@TechManPat Hi Pat, I'm in an HFC area, the homes all have cabling and conduits ready, but NBN missed us as the deployment rolled out. They said it was due to our 2.5 year old property being a new development. To make matters worse we show as ready, but they never connected the site up.

@melkettle Our tenant took our nbn box not realising that it’s coded for the house and hadn’t brought it with him. Was returned we got a Tech person to reinstall as booked nbn person never showed.

@heart_explodes I feel bad for my real estate agents. The landlord didn't get NBN organised during the build so my neighbours and I have no fixed internet. Idk about unit 1, but unit 2 and I have been asking weekly for updates. At least they have been as open as possible.

@NickPfitzner @NBN_Australia I have cause to believe that there's a bad batch of NCDs. In the 28/12 thunderstorm, all of them on our street were killed. This isn't a bit you can buy off the shelf. It's addressable so NBNco can control them remotely. A 2nd hand one probably wouldn't do me much good.
