  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

Well neither @Telstra or @NBN_Australia have managed to resolve my issue between them ... 30 days & counting ... shame on you both ... I have an online University exam worth 40% of my mark to do this weekend ... back to Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia @NBN_Australia Hi Matt ... thanks for your response ... very much appreciated & so much more than I have received from @Telstra ... no outage after using your link ... 12 days of no NBN, landline & wifi ... I’ve spent 20+ hours on the phone with Telstra

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

I have to say @Telstra I smell bollocks when your Complaints Department confirm the planned outage has been resolved and organise a technician to investigate your NBN service but 4 hours later another Department calls you to advise your wifi functionality will be fixed by 5pm 🤔

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@ACurrentAffair9 If it’s a slow news day and you fancy running an expose on how badly @Telstra treats customers of 15 years with their NBN service please reach out ... I have screen shots & more

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@Telstra I fail to see the humour in a now 28 hour old NBN outage that has meant I have spent the best part of 2.5 hours in the Telstra app chatting with 3 separate customer service reps asking the exact same questions and still no further along with answers

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia Even though @Telstra confirmed at 11am yesterday the outage was resolved and a technician needed to be organised ... at 3pm yesterday I get a call from an entirely different department of Telstra saying my wifi service would resume at 5pm yesterday = bollocks

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia @NBN_Australia ... Telstra cancelled my technician appointment claiming issue was resolved ... it wasn’t ... earliest a technician can attend is Friday 16/4/21 ... NOT GOOD ENOUGH

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@Telstra @NBN_Australia Thankgod for a switched on technician ... my wifi issue was the result of my modem disabling the wifi functionality during a firmware upgrade and had you bothered to run a diagnostic @Telstra could have confirmed this 12 days ago - 👏 ineptitude #bravo

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@Telstra I’m having trouble with the fact I have an nbn internet contract & @Telstra has been in breach of contract for 15 days ... for 8 days I had no wifi, nbn or landline ... for 7 days I’ve had 4G backup ... NOT GOOD ENOUGH

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia I’ve been checking @Telstra ‘s NBN outage website for the past 10 days and each day it says no outage in my area despite Telstra assuring me of a planned outage between 21/2-5/3 which they failed to notify me about prior

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

NOW @Telstra ... between 4pm & 6pm I had wifi connection ... between 6-7.30pm my Telstra smart modem has restarted on 5 occasions ... since 7.30pm I’ve had a blue light on my smart modem & NO NBN ... MY ISSUE HAS BLATANTLY NOT BEEN RESOLVED!!! POOR FORM

  • TheStrengthEP Jeremy Cowin (@TheStrengthEP) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@NRLonNine @Channel9 Either my nbn is slow or 9go sucks. Lagging and buffering every 2 mins. Sort it out guys.

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

I have to say @Telstra I smell bollocks when your Conplaints Department confirm the planned outage has been resolved and organise a technician to investigate your NBN service but 4 hours later another Department calls you to advise your wifi functionality will be fixed by 5pm

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

The earliest @Telstra allege they can get a technician to inspect my NBN fault is 17 days after the issue began ... @rayhadley2gb - interested in hearing more about how this ISP has treated a customer of 15 years ? No NBN, wifi, landline for 17 days

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@Telstra How on earth do you suggest I resolve my problem when your app won’t run a diagnostic or tells me the NBN diagnostic failed and you are prohibiting telephone call contact due to COVID 19 ... how do I study or work??????????

  • geoff__thompson Geoff Thompson (@geoff__thompson) reported from North Shore, State of New South Wales

@TheSaltminer @NickRossTech @abcnews @netflix @abc730 The story is specifically about streaming TV killing the NBN’s dream of fast broadband on fixed wireless. Whether it was a stupid dream to begin with is another issue. There’s a strong argument that FW has been poorly deployed - but it was in the mix for all ministers.

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@Telstra I feel like I am in a Monty Python skit ... after an ongoing TEN DAY NBN outage until 9pm last night, you assured me the outage was fixed ... between 11am & 4pm today there was yet another outage WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTIFICATION BY YOU OF SUCH OUTAGE

  • Ballyanamcara Her Irishness (@Ballyanamcara) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Is your customer service now an optional extra customers need to pay for???? I have YET ANOTHER NBN line fault approximately 12 months after the last unfortunate experience ... please check your messages from me with screenshots #epicfailtelstra

  • HappyHammer69 HappyHammer (@HappyHammer69) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

Just moved house, been unhappy with Telstra for a while so switched to @Aussie_BB because service supposed to be good! Need a @NBN_Australia tech to connect us, he says not very busy atm @Aussie_BB say it will take a week! #nocommunication #badservice

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • FloFreedom FloForFreedom (@FloFreedom) reported

@riktheozfrog @AlboMP Get Starlink, the NBN sucks

  • Jerrrrson Jerrrrson (@Jerrrrson) reported

@SandyXiaotong @CaroDiRusso Labor, always full of ideas but poor on administration and delivery. Conroy was copping flack for people sticking with ADSL, not taking up NBN, so leading to election did a deal with Telstra to end PSTN network and force all Telstra customers over to NBN phones, not NBN internet.

  • Christo44325140 🇦🇺Christopher Platz🇦🇺 (@Christo44325140) reported

@CaptainAdvance1 @SandyXiaotong I had nbn under dud, it has always sucked. can't blame them for losing my phone in an emergency. so much for a battery backup when your modem needs power too

  • LindaMelisande Linda- Melisande, (@LindaMelisande) reported

@mickyj63 Yes, the NBN was just done this morning..they were great..our provider was recently "sold on" & when we called said they didn't work weekends!! (Was 'My Republic') Luckily our over the road neighbour works for the NBN & was a great help.

  • FlashPoll NetraInvest (@FlashPoll) reported

@NBN_Australia @Aussie_BB And the service is down again, already had 11 hours and 3 hours in last 14 days. How much maintenance can one do at one place and when do we see any improvements? 3rd world internet.

  • KittenKong72 Mountain Goat (@KittenKong72) reported

@TaniaPV They are the masters of buck-passing and obfuscation. The business model seems to be designed to have neither responsible. If you’re speaking with NBN their hands are tied because the service provider needs to do something, and vice versa. Seems to work very well for them.

  • danae_bosler Danae Bosler (@danae_bosler) reported

Capitalism: nbn outage in my apartment block means all of us apartment dwellers have called our internet providers, & we've got different technicians from each of our providers coming on different days to fix what is clearly a central issue. You know, free market and all

  • wesgeorge8 wes george (@wesgeorge8) reported

@ComicalEngr Could be that the Gooberment decided to help? NBN solves some of the rural pop/space ratio problems, but may be having unintended consequences, as government interventions usually do, by squelching private investment as new cheaper & faster tech option come available.

  • StevenGToast1 Steven G Toast (@StevenGToast1) reported

@NBN_Australia Need some explanation on why it is the home owners responsibility to upgrade network cables when new estates built next to existing homes get brand new infrastructure. It is bizarre that the cost falls on home owners pre existing. Surely theres government support?

  • robbylara145 Robby Lara (@robbylara145) reported

    @AlboMP NBN sucks
