Gov. prioritising electorates with denser populations i.e. more votes, rather than equal distribution of service, as promised a decade ago.

I had no problems signing, but think I was ~1,500th signature, before site started crashing. No doubt poor NBN/internet doesn’t help 👍

Instead we are asking families to let us know if they don’t have reliable internet. In 2020. 🙁

And Optus did not help when NBN tech disconnected me, by mistake, as their record were not accurate, so they cut me. For it sorted in 3 days, but no apology from NBN for their error no follow up.

Garfield C. Reynolds (@GarfieldR1966) reported@NBN_Australia Here I am almost 2 weeks later and still regular interruptions while NBN lists our address as subject to network degradation. I have contacted my provider and they then check with NBN and I am told work is ongoing. But nothing gets fixed!!!!

Doug Hendo (@DougHendo) reported@TopherField The NBN started in Broken Hill my refrigeration systems on the towers where the only ones running when it hit 45c. They rang me up and said how come mine where the only one still working. Because I used Temperzone Australian Airconditioners with adjustable head preasure I increased. I didnt tell them all they had to do with the other was remove the thermistors off the head preasure on the American systems.

The concept was determined by an independent cost benefit analysis which determined upgrading to fibre provided the best benefit for the cost based on existing and concept tech. We just got a generic letter telling us our landline phone will be disconnected in 7 months. We used to have copper line which provided a highly reliable service in emergencies, whether power and internet was on, or not. I recall ringing a (surviving) neighbour in the middle of the Marysville 2009 Black Saturday fires. We had a chat while his smoke alarm was going off and the fire was raging outside. Phone through broadband was hopeless whenever the power or internet went down, which happens frequently. Mobiles are useless whenever the internet goes down, and not long after the power goes off. But those copper wire phones were fantastic. You could actually ring the electricity company when the power was off, and tell them that the power was off and could they fix it. I'm not joining the nbn.
