Terry Corby (@TerryCorby57986) reported@DaveMcG67 @Ausbobsmit @lauren_vasiliou Like Snowy 2 you mean started by LNP at a cost of $2B now estimated at $42B an LNP project or the NBN which cost us $110B more under Abbott& Turnbull for a far inferior service.Neither the right or left r great project managers.

Scarab (@ScarabOfficial) reported@THATS_RIGHT_YA @robb_j_m That download ping is faulty. Should be more like 20. Could be your computer, NIC, browser, or modem/router (and its settings). If you are with TPG you can log into your account and do an NBN test, which will check the line, and they'll contact you if there's a problem.

M (@imboudee) reported@Justme136160 @robb_j_m To be fair, David is not wrong. Telcos will use the NBN infrastructure as they see fit. It’s cheaper to pay to use the NBN infrastructure that is already there than to lay down their own fibre. In fact, telcos like Optus and Telstra are already NBN providers.

Loftwah (@loftwah) reported@QdenisT @AshPolitik Or the fact that what Abbott and Turnbull did with the NBN crippled the future of our entire generation at the most critical time to the point they should be thrown behind bars. That will and should never ever be forgotten or forgiven ever.

Jay (@TheGreenGoat79) reported@bobslidelx @JacintaAllanMP I've got 2 more weeks on current project than have about 20k of drilling left in sydney (installing goverment fibre optic network, like nbn but not ****) Then hopefully at the end of this year start of next we are either doing ali ce springs to darwin or toowoomba to chinchilla

Dave Jones (@eevblog) reportedNBN Update: "Cable works are progressing. The fibre cable was installed between the two manholes early this morning and the site has been made safe. Due to traffic control requirements, work has temporarily paused and will recommence under day Road Occupancy Licences between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Cable preparation works began earlier at 3:30am, with splicing scheduled to commence this afternoon. Customer restoration is expected to be completed later today. NBN will continue to monitor progress and provide further updates as they become available."

Roofing and Stuff (@RoofingAust) reported@DrewPavlou Look past high speed rail Drew. The future is self driving cars. We should be making the roads better and safer. Throwing money at rail now is like throwing money at nbn for remote Australians 10 years ago. Waste of money when starlink fixed the problem.

Peter 2.0 🐁🌸 (@PeterPeterV20) reported@WazzaGc @PaulineHansonOz Omg don't get me started on the NBN... Mostly poorly designed network and rollout

Yvonne (@YBartolovic) reportedLots and sometimes can’t even get 1mpbs Not joking Not nbn though but still **** house

Dave Jones (@eevblog) reportedI found out what the problem was, the entire building is down. NBN backbone issue, so it's not the ISP. Found a guy in the building that runs a mobile repeater business for buildings like this and he has official contacts with Telstra who say it's going to be down for the whole long weekend. Everyone in the building is struggling with phone access. He's going to put a proposal into strata (handily, that's me!) to install mobile repeaters in the building and also the basement carpark. I said I'll approve it.
