    Nbn Down for maintenance at Inverleigh. That means no Eftpos . No till. No ATM to be able to withdraw cash. Go cashless they say. What a load of ****.

    @ThornburyRocks I turned the ringer off on mine about 10 years ago. Still available in an emergency for calls out*. As long as the nbn is up and running.

    @basespanker @Batman2242 That was a fttn upgrade with Telco support, but libs called it fraudband due to the minor upgrade so it got scrapped and years later the #nbn was formed to rollout fibre to 93% of premises. LNP got in and decided to do fraudband

    @STEVEFI14205588 when power and all communications services were out for 6 days after last flood my ISP disconnected my NBN service because i could not go online to pay my bill because the NBN and all mobile service was down. ironic that even when there is no service we still have to pay for it.

    A guy moved into a new apartment. Only “official” internet was FTTN NBN — $90/month for a pathetic 30 Mbps down max. He called Telstra and Optus. Both said “5G Fixed Wireless not available at your address.” He checked a cell tower map anyway. Half a dozen towers within a couple km. Bought a GL.iNet GL-X3000NR 5G router + built a DIY 4x4 MIMO LPDA external antenna. Result? 800 Mbps download / 170 Mbps upload. 25x faster. $75/month. Same building. Here’s exactly how he did it 🧵

    @NBN_Australia how bad is the NBN !!! - took annual leave today and no bastard turned up - FU NBN - you’re another govt disgrace - they couldn’t give a **** about the customer or their time - another @ausgov disaster - we are a third world country

    @NBN_Australia still cannot connect a NBN service to my mothers location. Yet it says in website its serviced by FTTN, but here we are 6+ months (3 retail providers) and still cannot get a service. They blame construction, but what happened to project planning before that :)

    @NBN_Australia My internet is still regularly broken. I constantly report the problems to my provider. Who asks me to wait while they check with NBN. And says you tell them work is ongoing but that no estimate is available for when this will be fixed!!! Thanks for the runaround

    @TheLucidyn @Batman2242 No, it was a very bad idea, the original OPAL idea was excellent, a public private partnership to lift rural speeds up to that of the cities and was costed at about $4 billion. Rudd screwed that up with massive mission creep and created the NBN.
