    We could’ve future proofed Aus w/ original NBN. Might’ve cost a lot, but wouldn’t needed to be touched for long time. Instead, lots of bandaids & poor solutions… I know my parents & more still don’t have access to decent internet. Sounds “first world”, but we could’ve had better

    @Celicagirl6 @johncurtin @VodafoneAU Thank you 🙏 Hope you also got connectivity back. My nbn was working. I was thinking of cancelling it & sticking with VodaFail coz nbn is too expensive. Thank God i didnt cancel it. I would have been left with no way to even verify if the problem was with my phone or VodaFail

    @AtomicEconomics So the Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison governments were all completely helpless and none of the debt was their fault? Even though they completely redesigned the NBN rollout? The NDIS is Labor’s fault even though it passed with the bipartisan support and was implemented by the LNP?

    resorting to personal hotspotting on my mac and iPad cause apparently nbn speeds in suburban melbourne are just that slow atm

    This is the argument for the #NBN few predicted: 1) Spend lots of money to build a national broadband network. 2) Spend even more money to make it Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) by default. 3) Private competitor pops up and offers comparable service, in more geographies, with zero Australian govt money. ....But where some are now (4a) Private competitor drives out public investment (4b) Private competitor CEO becomes hyper-partisan & divisive AND THEN (4c) They decide to use almost-monopoly power to hold citizens hostage with price increases. Kevin07 may have saved us, even if he didn't know it at the time.
