How's the tax on tobacco going in stopping smoking as opposed to feeding organised crime?   @theinfradev @ruicharadrius I'm not revising history. The plan was fttp everywhere, with Telstra and optus copper being bought out to move them to the NBN. The copper was never going to be used for the NBN. Look at the Telstra definitive agreements from 2011.

  @eevblog I have both, NBN service stability is far less than Starlink's, so it is my backup. I could probably push traffic through both, did that with Telstra and Optus cable modems back in the day, but Starlink is so fast I haven't needed to bother.

  Not that I've heard anything of course. But surely, a NBN News presenter or two that WIN are likely to see as being "surplus to requirements" under their new format for local news would make for far better Super Radio Network hosts? Not to mention, have wider name recognition...

  @NBN_Australia any update on service outage in Seven Hills/Norman Park in Brisbane, QLD? Your website is lagging and blaming a power outage for the issue. @Energex did their job, we had power back on within 4.5-5 hours, that was yesterday 16/06/26 Still waiting 27+ hours later…

  Four days with no NBN. We were promised a fix today but the 4G network fell over from overuse instead. Thinking about investing in puppets and more paper books.

  I’m thankful I have NBN Fibre but even with that I will never use cloud gaming. why would the local computing die anyway? This AI craze will die quicker than the computer. Phones and laptops still need to be need built. What’s going to stop is that PCs will no longer be cheap
