  @TopherField I signed up to Starlink precisely because of the NBN, and the way broadband is handled in this country. Got a technical issue? 9 times out of 10, NBN need to fix. But there is no direct line to them - you have to use your ISP as a middle man to send messages back and forth. Something gets lost in translation, start over. It is an exercise in frustration. The last words I said to my previous ISP ("Aussie" Broadband) was "you just made a very good case for Starlink. Cancel my account" Been on Starlink for almost a year. Not one single drop out, great speeds, even online FPS games run great. TLDR: **** the NBN

  I told people when the Krudd had his NBN brain fart that it would be a colossal waste of money and that the future was wireless, and people told me I was being stupid. I remember the French government and their massive white elephant the Minitel system. Same government stupidity, every single time.

  @EmmasLastStand @MickamiousG I built my house. Owner/builder. In a remote area. I'm using starlink. No nbn access or phone service. I hired plumbers, electricians, builder, concreters etc. They all have bank accounts. I paid electronically. The only reason for them needing cash is tax avoidance. Fraud.

  @MichaelRuyg yep, when they built the NBN fixed wireless tower, that carries optus and vodafone as well, it had a backup generator. then the tower got "upgraded" with 6 months of regular outages and then next power outage we discovered the backup generator and the ability to call 000 was gone

  i’d say that Starlink is pretty close to competing with NBN at home for $75 a month 100 MB per second that’s not too bad. We pay $110 a month for 500 MB per second at home. We usually get about 175. To answer your question a comparable plan in Malaysia is about 55 Aussie dollars so it doesn’t quite compare

  @TheUSFeedX Yes I would because it’s a good service. But my service just went from $136 a month to $150 a month, yet the local NBN in Australia is about $85 a month.

  @theheraldsun NBN was Kevin Rubb’s idea to please the unions. Malcolm tried to fix but failed miserably. It is a great example that the government should not be involved in everything. Just leave it to follow a natural course
