@sszinglehead @DaveDavos2 The ALP do plenty of both. NBN, NDIS, ICAC, Robodebt, Medicare, free university and TAFE courses, handouts to dead people. non residents, on it goes. Federal ALP govts are never around long enough to see their fruits delivered, they should try staying in power this time round.

@chuqtas @DoctorKarl Still waiting for you to to name an alternate Aust wide broadband network other than NBN Muskovites think Starlink is this wonderful stand alone technology, it is not. In its current configuration it is just another way for people of connect to the NBN or similar.

  • weezmgk Comrade Weez (@weezmgk) reported

@ShortFu5e @DoctorKarl Starlink is absolutely not better than NBN. Long ping times due to being satellite service, slow upload, doesn't work well in the rain, about 1/3 more exxy for comparative speed. Starlink is a last resort option

NBN-Nick Ross @NickRossTech former tech journo for the ABC followed this, wrote his sincere analysis of it, its flaws. He was told to tone it down, after a complaint, allegedly, by the LNP govt. He eventually left the ABC. This was under the Turnbull govt from memory.
